agar ap military, beaurucracy, samraji gumashton n status quo kayam rakhne walon ko hi pakistani quom kehte hain to phir ap ne sach kaha. Shah sahib pakistan par har waqt yazid hakoomat karte rahe hai,kar rahe hai, karte rahain ge, inko koofi bhi milte rahe hai, milain ge, lekin Faiz ki tarah k jurat-e-inkar karne wale bhi hon ge. aur ahl-e-bait bhi zaroor hon ge. ahl-e-bait kam hi hote hai. In 1983 when EMI was recording my album on Ghailb I had the pleasure o singing the tunes of the selected poetry to faiz Saheb in a private Mehfil at Mustafa Qureshi's house. Memorable evening!

dr. sahib i m ur fan due to pyar ka ghao hai rooh ka ghao hai.....also ur n mustaq ji sang tera lutia sheher bambhor....but i love ur nana ji khwaja dil muhammad sahib who translated bhagvat geeta in urdu verse....i found a copy of 1930 printed from a raddi forsh.........about 15 years ago...still it is a treasure for me.

around 80 me too came across it in a certain Khas Number of Naqoosh i think and liked it very much.. pity we dun find any such gems now.. dunno even that Hero Book Stall of Lunda Bazar Anarkali exists now or not.. been centuries went to Lahore..my fav city to live in 80s.

Interesting chitchat between the eminent poets,but to me the real treat is the voice of Tina Sani. The melodious, slow rendition falls somewhere between the geet and the ghazal styles, and the effect on me is like that of a welcome massage to tired shoulders: soothing, comforting, reinvigorating.
