Why in this video, you normaly pull the pull station, and reset it, whereas in other videos, you just open them, then you close them, but without touching the "T-bar" (or other pulling thing or button ?
These panels have a Walk Test function. Simplex likes to program it to only be available at the Level 3 access level, which only Simplex has typically.
naw that was long time ago thats when i was in a bad mode, sumone tried to hack me but it didn't work for them and i found out who it was.......so just ignore that comment....thanx
might just be the static or the AC vibrating in a way to sound like a SpectrAlert. my LG fridge(big mofo.) sounds like a GENTEX Commander 3 on continuous horn sometimes, if you stand in the right place. also, my fridge has a door alarm, where if you leave it open too long, it goes off in it's version of code-3.
i know none of the notification appliances were sounding(if you listen though, you hear something like a SpectrAlert classic in the background), but what were the alarms used there? p.s., i like the canadian versions of the T-bar pullstations, i might try to get one. also, what's the model number on the single action ones with the new simplex logo? is it the same as america(4099-9001)?
I'm not sure what you hear! This building is full if 6 inch bells only. I didnt have the camera at the time to show it. They got all kinda of alarms here...pulls, RHT's, FHT's,FHTR's smokes, flow switches. I don't work for simplex so I couldnt tell ya the new model is. I think I can find out this model tho. It should be written down in the report somewhere.
Interesting how the panel has the Priority 2 and Alarm Silenced indicators, yet, the annunciator is the "classic" version (no priority 2 indicator). If the panel were "classic" as well, in addition to the Priority 2 indicator, there'd be no Alarm Silenced LED either.
the Priority 2 alarm here in Canada, we do not use. It's mainly for burglar entry witch is not allowed to be used by ULC standards. They can not incorporate them both together. I'm not really a fan of simplex panels, except for the 4100u. Pretty easy to use but if you start adding more then 2 nodes then it gets funky!
I think it was in supervisory. If you look closely at the annunciator you can see it says supervisory. I am in the UK so I dont really know that much.
I had all the NAC's disabled for the inspection I was doing witch causes a trouble. The supervisory is from the low pressure in the wet/dry sprinkler systems.

@paul9511 the T-bar is on a spring that pulls it back into place.

Yes.

why does reset inhibit exist? seems kind of useless!
coffeeandsugar20 2 years ago
By code here in canada we need to have it. I personally dont like it at all. especially for testing, it makes it longer!
twoplyboy 2 years ago
I would think it would make testing longer. I can understand why silence inhibit exists, but not reset inhibit.
coffeeandsugar20 2 years ago
it sure does make it longer when its conventional. addressable you can keep going then do a reset after a few alarms.
twoplyboy 2 years ago
Dude... why doesn't this annunciator have Priority 2?
coffeeandsugar20 2 years ago
chances are i could of been made in canada. here in canada we do not use the Priority 2 feature.
twoplyboy 2 years ago
that's lame! Priority 2 is very useful!
coffeeandsugar20 2 years ago
on the 4100 was the Priority 2
weatherfreak123 2 years ago
The 4010 annunciator beeps, and doesn't buzz. It also uses the B-Key instead of the A-Key.

and a rating really matters....?

was it showing a trouble signal because you had the horns/strobes on bypass?
willbri1 3 years ago 2
will this type of annunciator work with the 4010?
weathermaniac1 3 years ago
No, it won't.
The 4606-9101 works on the 4010.

I like the noise that metal trim plate makes each time that peizo pauses.

It's also interesting that your pull station locks open to the right, and not the left...
weatherdan882002 3 years ago
funny you say that. Today I found ones that went to the left. It had a mix of both. I dont know why. It could be just the way the barrel lock is set.
twoplyboy 3 years ago
I figured out that the lock can be removed and reversed. I dont know why it does this...

I hope you get a vid w/ the bells enabled. I'd like to see that.
weatherdan882002 3 years ago
I'll see what I can do. I still do bi-monthly sprinkler inspections there. I'll see if I can do a bell test at the same time. No promises tho!!
twoplyboy 3 years ago
Yes, but this is a 2099-9795 shown in this and the other 4020 video.

this panel has a 1 minute inhibitor. You can not do anything during this time. no reset no signal silence.

oh shit gotta grab a taco
watchman458 3 years ago
Huh?
Ih8escalators 3 years ago
yeah, you have a minute until the thing resets, so, why not go grab a taco?

Yeah, but I mean, if the panel has a priority 2 indicator, you'd think the annunciator would too...

yeah I know what you mean, it should match each other.
