Ok, time for a little common sense and skepticism. First of all ask yourself: why is the camera so low to the ground? Answer: because the people under the blanket are running up behind it. There is no hole in the ground. Criss lifts the blanket up and down such as at 0:45 (there is a speed up in the editing to distort this) to help them come over the horizon to the blanket unseen. Also, the most damning evidence of all is the very obvious cut at 1:19 followed by his body double sauntering off.
