  • Do you still plan on updating your forum and redoing the "Fast level 99 early" method??

  • Forum? What forum? I don't have a forum. Disgaea has seriously taken over pretty much every other game I'm involved with. Afterall, 2300 hours racked up on 2 Disgaea games (1 and 2, both and only on the PS2) in only 2 years is very extreme. Once I get bored of working on Platform Masters, I'll be at Disgaea 2 again, streaming my game play live.

  • @ulillillia about the map thing square enix found it too difficult to make the map seeing that you can get lost easy square enix decided 'hey let's be lazy and not give a damn about the map screw the gamers that's their problem now' CURSE YOU SQUARE ENIX FOR BEING LAZY!

  • So what, the area is nothing more than interconnected circles with some paths nonexistent, and always at 60 degree angles of each other. This kind of setup is very easy to make, far easier than many of the other areas. It's just copy and paste with lines connecting different sections.

  • Omega MK II activates when you accept the Yiazmat Hunt.

  • u need to beat yiazmat first man....then ..go back there and it will be all alive and more annoying then ever

  • I love you keep saying "duck". lol

  • hey friend,tell me something,i heard on a vid,that u gain more MP if u use more magics.true?

  • False. The HP and MP is purely randomized. There is a trick to getting the greatest amount possible though. It's a tedious process, but can net another 180+ more MP for Vaan and Ashe (300+ HP). See my "how to get perfect HP and MP" video for details - it requires plenty of quit and reload. Go for "near perfection" - go for the highest MP you can, then get within 3 of the highest HP. 6400+ HP and 315+ MP for Vaan is very good. 6100+ HP and 330+ MP for Ashe is very good.

  • why do some people keep thinking this is a glitch? its not. to fight omega12,yiazmat hunt must be accepted. once it is,u can fight omega12 first if u want. its up to u. the point is,accept the yiazmat hunt to activate omega12.

  • In the last 3 plays, I always saw Omega Mark XII as active. This play was different in that it was inactive and I had no idea why. I thought it was a glitch given the previous encounters.

  • @ulillillia well,now u know its not.

  • @amazo88 sorry friend,i think that's not true, cause i made to fight omega before montblanc even talk about yazmat..well,maybe because of other fights as someone told..

  • Actually, to get Yiazmut to be available, defeat H Wyrm, of which has nearly 9 million HP. Omega Mark XII has around 1.1 million HP.

  • @Xicko1 well,thats how i did it. if u have a different method,upload the vid so every1 knows.

  • @amazo88 maybe ulill.. is right, cause H Wyrm was one of my firsts opcional bosses..

  • @Xicko1 i know hes right. if u defeat hell wyrm, yiazmat will be opened. but to fight omega,u have to accept yiazmat hunt first. only accept the hunt,u dont have to actually fight it.

  • @amazo88 i got to tell u this:i didn't knew anything about this game, after my 260 hrs, there was a door(and many other things) i couldn't open(H Wyrm),then i've decided to search for help on internet, when i saw that were inumerous things i didn't imagine, such as ZS..after HW i was only on level VII marks when i decided to explore the Cristal, drew my own map, just not to get bored of this game, and discovered(i thought, now i've seen too many vids about tips) OM,didn't knew about Yiazmat yet..

  • FF12 is a truly massive game - there's so much around and so much to do. It's too bad you can't carry more than 99 of something or go above level 99....

  • @ulillillia if u r power hungry,it may not be enough. but level 99 is enough for me since u usually must grind to reach levels above 99 n im easily bored when grinding.

however,if high level is ur thing,i believe u can do so in star ocean 3 n tales of abyss.

  • Disgaea takes grinding to the extreme. Despite reaching nearly 1000 hours at the game, I've only seen 4 of the game's limits - 10 trillion minus 1 for money, 999 turns, 9999 levels (thank clone wars for these 3), and 210 bonus after transmigrating. My wizard is regularly doing 8-figure damage to everything, without magic boost or "atk+50%" type effects. I'm still grinding away too and I just got my ninth maxed teacher yesterday....

  • @ulillillia as i said,i'll be bored way bfor that. as for u,thats what i called obsessed. lol

  • hey, uhh i used gameshark for one of my game saves just for the hell of it, and i had a code on for all the gates to be open in the great crystal, and when i went to fight this guy, he did the same thing. either that was a glitch or you had some codes on my friend.

  • I don't have a Gameshark, Action Replay, etc. for the PS2, only on the Gamecube. I have been told that the Yiazmut hunt must be accepted, but, to get that, H Wyrm must be defeated, of which, when I recorded this video, wasn't even touched.

  • @ulillillia i see i see. then that's cool cause i immediately dropped playing the game after that cause i thought that i wouldn't ever be able to 'fully' complete it. well, i guess i gotta beat ff13 asap (100%) lmfao =]

  • duck? well...goose! :D anyway, interesting video. never saw that weird glitch.

  • The piggyback games guide had a great crystal map very handy

  • to fight omega mark XII you need to kill yiazimat i think

  • how do you get grand armor and genji gloves

  • Grand armor drops from helvenik with a 1% chance. Not only is helvenik rare game, it also takes a very long time to get. If you thought getting the burning bow for my "how to get level 99 fast & early" series was rough, try going on 13 times longer.... The maximillian, also a 1% drop, is much, much easier to get and you can get 6 of them in less time than it takes to get the burning bow, due to the availability and ease of chaining. My newest guide on GameFAQs explains this.

  • Youtube rose the time you are allowed to have in a video to 15 mins. so if you don't already know this you can make videos longer if you please

  • I only saw 10 minutes and it's what I'm used to. I'm completely unaware of the existence of the length change. 15 minutes does seem more reasonable though. Still, for very long videos (like my Yiazmut one), they'll have to be segmented anyway.... Besides, I recorded this video well before I was even aware that they changed this. I was thinking something around 25,000 total frames would be reasonable so a low fps video could last longer than a high fps video.

  • The Bradygames guide also lacked crucial data on rare game, which I found sort of annoying; it was a decent guide for a regular playthrough, but lacked details needed for perfectionists who wanted to achieve the rank of "Order of Ambrosia."

  • So Omega Mark XII will be in this dormant state until you have accepted Yazmat's hunt. Only accept; actually engaging Yazmat isn't needed.

  • Hey ulillillia, on Thursday, YouTube just increased the video length limit from 10 minutes to 15 minutes. Thought I'd let you know. So you can make longer videos easily from now on.

  • yea i disliked this place too cause the green floors remind me of the green jello and i hate the green jello plus at the end it was like all ching chong and reminded me of the sound that chalk makes against blackboards when you hold it the wrong way

  • Probably because it's Bradygames, and their guides are all trash.

  • Brady Games guides aren't all that bad. While sure they have mistakes and things (no one's perfect), I still find them useful without having to turn on my computer and stuff to check GameFAQs for every little thing. The worst of the Brady Games guides is FF9 - it's practically useless outside the walkthrough part, and it's really only enough to get you through the game, in the event you don't know what to do next to get further into the story.

  • You have to accept the Yiazmat hunt.

  • Hey ulillillia, this is a completely un-related question, but you seem like the person that would know. Do you know how fast megaman runs in megaman 2?

  • I vaguely recall MM2, but I believe it's about 3 px/fr. It's the same as MM4 and even MM6. MM7 and later are completely different.

  • @ulillillia Thank you, this will come in handy to get my game to handle a bit like megaman.

  • Well, if you need it that precise, I took a look at my MM4 video (of which is posted on YouTube - I used the frames around 22,490 and roughly the 60 or so onward), viewing it frame by frame and using the textures as distance markers (they use multiples of 16), I'm getting 80 pixels (5 texture repeats) in 30 video frames, which would point to an actual speed of 1 1/3 pixels per game frame.

  • @ulillillia This is really useful, thanks ulillillia.

  • By the way, the flare trick worked wonders for Zodiark. I thought Zodiark was going to be tough, but with both Basch and Ashe unleashing flare just as Zodiark was going to use darkja for the second time, I just let berserk Vaan rip like crazy while Zodiark had to wait a very long time for both flare casts to finally finish, but berserk Vaan finished him off. H Wyrm was much easier thanks to this method - have a double dose of flare just before it uses invert made this fast and easy.

  • @Elliottslingsby According to TASvideos's page for rockman his horizontal speed is 1.375 pix/frame in MM1/2 (1.3125 during a jump/fall) and 1.296875 pix/frame in MM3/4. Google 'tasvideos game resources' if you need the page.

  • 1.375 (1 3/8) px/fr and 1.3125 (1 5/16) is very close to 1 1/3 (that's 1.33333333...). Of course, if I used more video frames, then I could get more precise. Still, the 1 1/3 seems to be a good average.
