This is a beautiful warbird,,, I have one myself. The only problem I have is that the CG is too close to the main landing gear so that makes landing very difficult.Slight resistance during landing can make it tip over.
I talked to a sales rep who told me that this plane is not made for belly landing.I tried it twice and broke two prop blades.Overall its a great plane though if your an intermediate pilot.
@Doamino41 Yes, the landing gear is an issue. I bent mine forward and that helped a bit. I find that if you fly off of a hard surface, it won't tip over as much but if I'm flying off of grass I'll just hand launch it. I haven't broken any props on the grass.
Hi briguy99, the battery compartment looks a bit small, the specs call for a 1300 mah pack, is there room to fit in a larger pack say 11.1V 1800 possibly 2200 mah?
It's a great flier for sure! I'm upgrading the motor and putting on some retracts now. It's a low priority project, but I'll try to get a video up of it later.
hey there .... i have never flew a plane but i fly rc helicopters for a while now and fairly familiar with four ch transmitters ... do you think this plane is good for me ? i have to say im in love with it !!!! and you are a pro pilot buddy ... cheers
Well, it's made out of foam so it'll be easy to repair when you crash! If you absolutely can't wait to get proficient on a trainer first, this model is pretty easy to fly. Keep in mind that it is difficult to take-off, land and taxi simply because of the scale landing gear. It hand launches fairly well however.
It's fairly flexible. I recently did a belly landing on the dirt of a baseball diamond - I could see the blades flexing as it slid along! It does come with a spare prop, I've broken on but that was due to a minor crash.
i've just got me one of these, but will have a few more flights with my trainer first. looks alot better without the undercarriage, retracts would be great!
congrats on the maiden.Super flight, i might be getting one of these as my next plane, Already have the parkzone spit, and this one looks so good.Cant wait. So youre happy with your purchase?.cheers
Nice plane! Really scale looking. I love that prop. I have Balsa one or I would of got this one. Mine has to much power lol! It flys good on half throttle though. 5*

This plane really does fly as great as in the video! great video by the way...
And just for fun, try the p-51 d propeller from parkzone.
It fits without modification on the art tech motor. And flight performance goes up!
More speed more power...
Cheapest upgrade there is.
Wil try to upload a video as soon as the wind dies down..

so how do you not break the prop on grass landings?

if you have the ability i would change the info on the site or tell them to. it says 3 servos. i kknow it made me think twice : )
mxf7010g8k 2 years ago
I see where you got that from. The Yak has only three servos for example, it uses one for both ailerons.
briguy99 2 years ago
yea it says 3 micro servos so im thinking.. WHAT!? lol. i think this may be my next plane : )

I absolutely love the way this plane flies. I found that the landing gear isn't much good on grass though. 5/5

Yeah, I mostly hand-launch it - easy to and the plane looks great without the wheels.

Yeah, I was thinking retracts too until I flew it. It's a small model and hand launches well so I'm not going to bother.

Thanks! I haven't worked out the helmet cam like yours. There may be a retract option in the future.
