wow, why is it that in almost every video i see of firefighters fighting house fires it seems like they take their precious time. were i volunteer at we always traning and trust me it dosent matter if there is a house on fire as close as two blocks away from the FD we will arrive on scene with our SCBA'S on and everything and thanks to us there are many houses that have been spared.
i think they did a good job containing this fire you guys are way too critical about there supply lines and feed lines this fire department serves my community and i think Maplewood and north St.Paul fire do a fine job containing and knocking down this fire and trying to keep the damage to the home as minimal as possible why no interior attack why did they need it they did a great job until you guys have done this job you shouldn't be so fast to bash the job they did again nice job guys !!!!!!!
should have gone in the side door and worked ur way out... u have pushed hot gasses and smoke threw the house by starting in the front!! yall cought a lil job and wasted it..
@LilDillon587 They weren't going to drag that 2 1/2" through the house that's for sure. Looks like it may have been a garage fire so I don't think they pushed much of anything through the house, most of the fire was exterior.
Why no interior attack? Also some simple hose laying would have avoided the tangles that could have been a serious mistake. Other than that, great job!
If you listen, they were having a hard time getting the intake cap off the driver's side so they switched over to the other side. Not sure why they came back after the first switch. It was a relatively quick knock down with minimal damage to the rest of the house.
I hope this dept. critiques this. Poor apparatus placement, nozzle position did not bleed the line, no clue what the driver was doing with the supply line. Starts at one side, goes to the other, then back again. It took 4:32 to get water from the hydrant to the pump. Supply line tangled with the attack line. A few kinks in the attack line. I'm not bashing this dept. at all, just stating what I observed in this video.

The only good thing about house fires is that you can roast millions of marshmallows/hotdogs
