We are flying with them from Philadelphia to LAX for our vacation to Disneyland, just because they happened to be the cheapest, and I am so glad we are. It will be both an economical and fun flight. It will make the 6 hours in air go by a lot faster!

omg the list of installations and tasks involved with the ife system goes on, but i work on these everyday. Im so glad to work on them and see peoples reaction to the outstanding cabin because it really is something. I feel honored to work on this project. GO VIRGIN AMERICA!!!

theres 25 rows of seats. these monitors and audio controls along with the en powers below the seat are all powered through clusters of units divided out through the plane theres 24 clusters ea containing a set number of vseb's, psu's, and cooling fans. there's a 9940vu rack in the aft cargo of the plane that is put together and installed ground up and contains file servers sdu's and other equipment that gives signal and power to the seats via the clusters.

They are the BEST airline for night flying -- especially with the mood lighting. VA is a US subsidiary of the Virgin Group. It's not run by the same company as the International Virgin airlines, it's actually a San Francisco - based airline, and as Furdah has pointed out, VA is not run by Richard Branson, BUT, he owns the parent company that VA is a subsidiary of. Big business -- PHEW! -- confusing. GREAT airline though!

yes they are very simillar..

The only thing is that Virgin atlantic is an international and global airline. This is just a part of that airline focussed on the usa which has is own compartment. They fly only small airplanes like airbus a320s.

the management is also controlled by the major airline : virgin atlantic.

I would like to mention that Virgin America is not under the same leadership as Virgin Atlantic though Virgin America's executives are very nice and friendly people. Richard Branson set up all these Airlines like Virgin Nigeria etc but does not run them himself. In talking about this you see what a large brand they are and how unique too. Very Nice group of airlines...

Virgin America was just rated the World Best Domestic Airline so in terms of being a good airline they are the best. If you want to work for them they offer great opportunities and great pay and If you want to work for a domestic airline in the U.S. I would definately recommend VA.
