When I played this game, I thought that the hero did some weird victory dance at 2:02. My character was a wizard, so I thought that he did those flashy things himself somehow.
@Shavarnarak Yeah that's true, there were like no houses to rob or a thieves' guild or anything, just one or two sequences here and there. Thief kinda got jacked in this game, which is a shame. :/ Wizards at least got their little lotus thingy to do. If they'd given it a few more months it might have been a bit more solid.
I would have had the hero get sucked into the portal with the demon wizard when he pushed the orb. As the portal closes behind the hero his friends make it up to him a moment too late. The Ending would be ceremony in which the hero is remember for his sacrifice in bringing peace to Tarna.
Then the hero finds himself in the cave at the beginning of Shadows of Darkness. Then Cut away to Ad Avis and Katrina looking into crystal ball.
well, screw techtite cause he/it obviously doesn't have a clue. This is the best ending to a game in this series, it made me cry at the time and definitely wait for the fourth game.
Are you kidding? This ending, while it doesn't really ruin the whole game series, is still bland and unimpressive. It certainly doesn't lessen the "rushed to market too early" feel of this game.
Too bad these games are so damn hard to get to play on your system today. What's with all the bugs in QFG4? I tried to play them all during Spring Break a couple of years ago with one character crossing over, but I just didn't have the patience to play through the fifth one.
I recently replayed as the Wizard, and when I exported something went foobarb so that when I imported into QFG4 my Open Spell skill came out as 29864. And I ran a test with my QFG2VGA character, so I know the problem is in the QFG3 export. I don't suppose you know how to fix this?
Did you level up your skill in each spell, like getting Flame Dart up to 300 or something? Sometimes if those are too high, they can freak out when you export to 4. At least, I think that's what happens.
Look at that blood-red sky in the background. The VGA art in QFG 1 and 3 always made my imagination go into overdrive as a kid.. I always wished there were more to explore in Tarna, and especially in the Lost City.
I love the Wizards ending with the demon. Where they have a sorcerors duel. At the end the demon is like 'Bwaha! I got your staff!' and you cast trigger on it and it explodes, sending his head off, which lands at your feet, where you swiftly punt it into the gorge.
I remember inthebegining youcould smoke some wheator opiumwiththat man(this personwas thedirector from sierra playing inthe game lol) but after 3 times smoking it was game over because theysayyoubecome adrug addict lol :-D

I think they probably released this game to early. You can't even rob those haughty liontaurs as a thief. And that would have been fun to do!
It's really mostly a Paladin/Fighter game, though there's some stuff for the Wizard to do too. But I feel the Thief kind of got to little to do.

All techtite said was that this ending made the first two games meaningless.

This ending was said to ruin the whole game series.

One of the worst game endings, according to Techtite.

3:30 they seem to start.
Woot, I like Aubrey Hodges's work especially in QFG4. Necrotaur Battle Theme is my favorite.

Good times. :D

That is one of the most memorable moments in the entire series in my opinion.

And 4 as well, even more so than 3. Error 52... sob.

If I remember correctly, a programming oversight prevents you from obtaining the maximum score in this game, right?
Ben500 4 years ago
Hmm...possible. QFG3 was terribly, terribly glitchy. I'll have to check.
ZarlaSheenaza 4 years ago
GFG3 is God in programming perfection compared to QFG4.
eurohim 4 years ago
That's right.
High scores:
Thief = 495 of 500
Magic User = 493 of 500
Fighter = 488 of 500
Paladin = 497 of 500
Fighter to Paladin = 513
