got to hear Son House play this tune he wrote when he was about 95 yearss old at Ann Arbor Blues Festival 1971 that John Sinclair helped put on. Don't hear House of Rising Sun jazzed up everyday.
Oh, That man called Bill Stewart makes a half of whole work in the song!!! those guys found one another indeed! I wish i was there too ! ! Thanks for sharing!
it looks like a fender twin, doesn't it? he's actually using a peavey classic here. he sounds best through a Vox AC30, but made that amp here sound grand.
Peavey Classic!? It's gotta be a rental! Ha! He was using an AC30 the night before that sounded just fine also... I like that he's using 2x12 vintage-style combos now; whilst I love his tone through a Mesa 100watter, nothing beats the sound of those power valves breaking-up.

listen, you can keep 'em all. Vai, Gatton Holdsworth etc....all of 'em. No one expresses it like Scofield. If you cant see it......unlucky.

Yeah! Scofield ragging a vintage Fender Twin... tasty. Hope to hear him playing through it more; he used one on This Meets That.
Great angle you got on the vid there, they were fantastic gigs he did at the Jazz Café.

Wow...that instrumental Sco takes is incredible. I love all of the chords and different voicings he uses.
