  • So they were shipping faulty imacs to people then only giving them 15% money back? Shit customer service much

  • my shit is just really slow, anybody else?

  • lets play my favourite game-Arkhem city...Oh crap...

  • i just bought a new 27 iMac and sometimes when i move a folder into another folder the screen will flash with like a static. is this the OS or screen?????????

  • @legotech101 graphics card. you need to send it back or something sorry :(

  • Macs are bigger pieces of shit than than most pc's. They look great and when they work they are amazing but...they have the most hardware problems I have ever encountered. Ive had 2 macbook logic board deaths. And guess what apple said the first time it was a heating issue and I had to pay$1000 to have it fixed. The second time it was going to be $700. instead I got an Imac and guess what? Yellow screen and dead pixels. Im done with Apple. Ill take a software problem over a hardware

  • Today the main issue with iMacs, especially the 27" ones, are the dark spots that appear after a coupel of years of use. I have a 21,5" iMac, there's a slight greyish shadow on the top left of the screen. I don't think  solved the problem with the 2011 ones. In my case it's not shocking but I might say a little bit annoying. I had none of these with my previous 2006 iMac.

  • Build a Hackintosh. Works great.

  • if macs get proplems why the fuck du u have 1 lmfao

  • @mcrayzor1 All computers have problems, there are NO perfect computers that does not have problems

  • I wonder is a person better of buying a refurb, you still get the 3 year apple care pro plan (if you want) and you know its not from the factory store and an Apple tech has kissed it better,

  • Video Add: "Is the iPad to expensive for you?"

    Me: Yes. *Closes add*

  • spending 2000 bucks you should not have hardware problems.

  • can someone give me a link to the wallpaper? I've been searching it for months because I love it!!

  • twice the price for last gen or further hardware and a mediocre OS? that sounds like a waste.... can't get pc virus's?! sign me up.

lol oh wait we are in the post- pc era. oh steve.

  • do you guys notice how soilderknowsbest never replys to comments? And never does anything for subscribers???

  • @SMGDUDE3017 yeah ive noticed, i have been trying to ask him several questions, but he NEVER replies to them... sigh

  • 0:00!!! Epic face

  • I have a new mac 21.5 and is it normal for my mac to get really hot?

  • @casedilla333 yeah mine does to like really really hot i could cook eggs on it lol but anyways it gets really hot then cools down.

  • nice screen but my dvd burner doesn't burn!!! :(

  • Does the July 2010 do this??

  • Big beautiful screen to do a lot of things... (Like watching porn)

  • @Benrocks10198 the hell is wrong with you?

  • who cares?

  • @Divoto98 41,444 people care.

  • Comment removed

  • @Divoto98 you came on a vid cause you don`t care?

  • @Divoto98 me

  • are the screen problems just for the 27 inch imac because i have a 21.5 inch imac and i haven't had any issues with the screen?

  • where you came from?

  • @GlobalGabe Just fucking stop spamming

  • give me your imac then. i can deal with display issues.

  • Who gives a shit if the screen is an IPS??? Viewing angles is the least of your problems with that piece of shit glossy screen.

  • you should do an unboxing and review of the otterbox defender series case for iphone 4...very practical case!

  • @Paumonsu no one cares.

  • @iover9000 agreed

  • Mac is now the #1 most insecure OS since there to stubborn to say they can get viruses and all of that. Thats what happend when the PC became popular. lol.

  • @RacingRocks12 A comment like that shows you are either very dumb or just biased. Linux based Mac OS is much more secure and stable than Windows. You have got to be kidding and if not, point us to your so called knowledge.

  • @BrianPex The code in Mac OS X and Linux is just as prone to vulnerabilities and bugs as the source code of Windows XP. But the most relevant factor of the overall security an operating system is delivering is its position in the mainstream culture. The Linux, Mac OS X and Windows XP top is the reversed version of each of these products' share of the operating system's market. Here we have Windows XP with 84.33%, Mac OS X with 6.38% and Linux with0.42% My knowledge triumphs yours so shut ur FACE!

  • @RacingRocks12 I know that when I used to use my Junk HP, I got several Viruses and I had up to date virus protection. Point is I don't worry you moron about them like with the junk PC's I used for years. They don't have the market share PC's have?? WOW!! I never knew that. Idiot and an internet tuff guy cuz I'd break your head in three and laugh. Loser

  • @BrianPex Funny, I dont even have virus protection. Probably because I don't download torrents and watch porn like you. The only way to get a virus is through the users own stupidity. Obviously, your one of them, and switched to Mac because your computer intolerant. Basically means you wouldn't know how to use advanced settings or reconfigure registry files. BTW, my 'junk' pc cost me 500$ to build and is faster than a mac pro with dual core i7's. lol. Mac owners are so dumb.

  • @RacingRocks12 You know there has been a mac limewire virus before XD

  • @BrianPex Except for SoldierKnowsBest. Its people like you that make him look bad. Or should I say any smart computer owner out there.

  • @RacingRocks12 Mac OS X runs a linux based UNIX OS system

  • Comment removed

  • @InfiltrateDestroy93 Not Linux based, BSD based.

  • @drrobertoboogie97 Linux has a UNIX based system, the same as Mac OS X, get your facts straight

  • @InfiltrateDestroy93 Linux is UNIX based, Mac OS X is UNIX based, but that doesn't mean Mac OS X is Linux based. BSD and Linux are different UNIX variants. But I agree with everything you said.

  • @InfiltrateDestroy93 Let's look at this in a mathematical way.. It's like

    UNIX kernel = {a, b, c, d, e}

    Linux = {a, b, c}

    Mac OS X = {c, d, e}

  • @InfiltrateDestroy93 But that still doesn't make Mac OS X based on Linux.

  • @InfiltrateDestroy93 when i said Linux Based, i meant Based as in the term Based Around, not like what you think, soz for confusion

  • @RacingRocks12 linux is 6% windows in total is 85% mac os x is 10+%

  • I just lost my cd rom and I am having trouble with display graphics. What else can go wrong? anddd yeahhhh Safari keeps crashing after so manyyyy re-instalations.

  • How about heating or wireless remote sync issues.

    I'm sick of restoring my I Mac. I'm 100% using Windows 7.

If Apple would just check the issue at hand instead of having it sit in the storage room, people would be happy. But you must keep coming in the store over and over again before they have a clue!!

  • Love how this always turns into a mac vs pc war =D xD

  • mac is an issue? right?

  • please pick me this is justshowmez i want that iphone 4

  • Happen to me, then I updated it and it stopped.

  • my 27 inch's hardrive completely failed and died along with the one of the memory!! and worse i was 10 days over my 3 month apple support contact thing, so they couldnt tell me what to do about it! WTF!! i got it back now and the screeen is sorta flickering, like not going dead but the brightness goes very lower for like half a second and comes back normal!

  • @jack390

    Cool story bro.

  • what wallpaper does he have

  • Doesn't at all sound like a problem that can be truly fixed with software patches. From how you describe, it sounds like a temperature issue on the GPU or less likely, the memory bus. If i were you I wouldn't sit on my hands waiting for apple to do something because the only way to 'fix' that with software only, is to underclock your GPU.

  • macs are for people who don't know how to use pc's

  • @xXxLoRdxPiExXx Shut the fuck up and crawl back to the cave you live in you fucking idiot.

  • @drrobertoboogie97 D'awwwh, is this poor little leopard meowing at me? I'm sorry you don't know how to use a PC. That's okay though, that's why they made the PC for dummies called the Apple Computer, also known as a Mac.

  • @xXxLoRdxPiExXx Idiot, I think you've mistaken me with retarded Apple fanboys. You don't know the fact that I hate Apple fanboys as much as you do. Those retards make normal Mac users look retarded.

  • i bought a 27" core i5 imac last monday. two days ago i noticed a pixel sized dirt behind the screen. Got another one today. Booted it and it has one dead green sub-pixel. oh my... i'm so pissed. But i should have booted it on the store. It's such a hassle because i bought on a store and it's not an easy object to handle.

I'm very used to macs, having working on them for years. NEVER had a problem... until i decided to purchase one.

  • GREAT! i just ordered my iMac yesterday! I really hope this doesnt happen too meeeeee..

  • does he have 2 iMacs ?? look at the iMac behind him. wierd :)

  • I got one for christmas. Right out of the box it was completely smashed. After I sent it back and got a new one it was great until now. After it is on for about an hour it flickers ALL THE TIME! It's so annoying! What should I do?

  • Soldier, Did you run the Grey Bar Test? What Week Number is yours? Week Number = 4th & 5th Digit of Serial Number. I went from the 21.5" model to the 27" iMac. Apple Free Upgrade = To $500. Nice. Let me Know! Thank you.

  • Soldier, you should make a series of video for just your wallpapers. lol where did you get that one?

  • He did. He gets them from Deviant Art generally

  • Yeah my iMac has taken 3 Months to arrive, and im still waiting. Ive had good confimation that its arriving in 3 days. So thats good news.. I think they are now issuing new models without the problem of flickering, but thats just what i've heard.

  • I always build my own PC, so unlike owners of Macs, I don't have any issues.

  • wow i was talking about the screen

  • It's excellent that Apple is offering refunds to people with chronic issues. Although I am not a fan of you advising people to get the applecare warranty. Whatever the issue is it's clear it's manufacturer and should be warranty'd for the life of the computer. It's unfortunately but the masses shouldn't have to be punished for a manufacturing problem.

  • The reasons people get issues with the 27" is because Apple is showing to much power into a small casing. I'm thinking about the quad core processors here. And ATI also failed to deliver proper drivers for their cards in said machines.

  • Here's what you can do that may help: when the iMac is not in use, shut it down. No use to have it powered up for the sake of not having to press the power button.

Two, zap the PRAM now and again on power up, reset the SMU if need be.

Apple has had problems with parts contractors, subcontractors in the past and the same seems to be true now as well as an assembly problem.

    These will be fixed.

Keep up on your software updates, go to the Apple Store if needed, AppleCare if CTO.

  • i built my own pc. its awesome.

can you build your own mac? yes. go build one dumbasses.

  • @Mattisbehindyou No one cares

  • Just ordered my i7 on the 8th...can't wait to get it. Thanks for the vids SKB.

  • @mrpaininthebutt oh yes its very true, but if you dont know what you're doing it can be a real "pain in the butt" to accomplish lol but honestly it takes time to learn :)

  • to all those that answered, I never knew that. I thought boot camp was just to run word. And to others you can stop the fanboy crap. I own a mac. Just never knew I could play games other than sims on it.most of you act like you get royalties from every mac or pc sold.

  • I never thought I'd be this type of person (and im sorry) but please watch my "help" audition I need a? lot of views to win. You have no clue how much it would mean to me:)

Its for a good cause(animal abuse)

and I worked hard spending hours copy and pasted this lol so its not spamming for easy views

its called help btw click on my channel u cant miss it:)

  • @JolynnConley8 Hey I watched your video! I hope my view helped! (I think i sent u a reply comment that was to someone else so sry)

  • Lol I can see in the reflection on your iMac that you have another one. lol

  • @StupidSkateboarding lol he doesnt have two, he has 3, in the unboxing of his iMAc 27", it shos 2 more iMacs, in he background

  • I am a graphic designer I have both PC and Mac and there is NOTHING I can do on my Mac that I can't do on my PC. If the OPERATOR knows anything about computers besides the way they look and how to turn them on! then you should successfully be able to accomplish the same tasks on each system.

  • @MrHENNESSY10 if thats true(which its not) FTW

  • @MrHENNESSY10 if thats true(which its not) FTW

  • hey guys.. anyone know where i can find the wallpaper that soldier uses in his imac??

  • i don't know why everyone is so fcking mac crazy. my friend is a apple/mac fan to the extreme and tells me i should switch from pc to mac. what i tell him is that i get all the shit he has in his mac laptop plus a blu ray player for 1k cheaper. so basically, you pay 1k more for what. he obviously was stumped on that one.

  • Is the glossy screen workable for a longer period of time? Say about 5 to 8 hours a day. I have Sony Vaio laptop with a glossy screen and it is workable, but that is a plastic glossy, imac uses glass.

  • Mac's are for people that don't know how to use a PC properly,

  • actually PCs are for people that dont know how to use a Mac properly, macs are much more complex and alot of windows software can be run on a mac. windows cant run mac software except a few programs apple designed to have run on windows

  • thank god it was a mac because if this was a pc you'd be screwed love my mac never going back to pc

  • Do you think it's the Mac's led backlights for the flickering problem? That's what i've been wondering

  • Soldier always has the best wallpapers Where does he get them =[

  • I'll be glad when LG has fixed the issues.

  • where did you find your background on your mac thats behind you, its SICK!

  • iMac isn't issuing a refund, its Apple! People with screen issues, Apple has suggested you bring your iMac in for a screen replacement.

  • Should've built your own PC. MUCH cheaper for more computer imho.

  • well its OS sucks.. i love my imac

  • U should have a show on tv reviewing cars

  • wheres the background on your computer from?

  • thats the GLAD logo..

  • the what? GLAD? as in GLAD wrap?

  • Haha one comment?

  • Does anyone know where that background is from?

  • Comment removed

  • Apple release faulty product and I am recommended to buy the extended warrenty just incase it goes wrong. Thankfully I live in the UK where we have laws to protect consumers in regard to this type of thing

  • did u say gaming? u must have made a mistake. the only game apple has is sims

  • @poohmdk1

Buddy... I play Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare! So don't say Macs can't play games!

  • It's called Boot Camp.

  • @poohmdk1 not true, a lot of ea games games are on macs and you can always use boot camp to run windows (or linux) so you could run any game on a mac where on a pc you can only run pc and linux games (at least legally) The iMac has some pretty good gaming specs to so yes it is a good machine for gaming.

  • Should I get a mac, I mean, I've been very skeptical on switching for windows to a mac. I've seen great reviews and stuff but, I need more background knowledge like, is it more, or compatible with slot of doffrent software? Thanks in advance.

  • I will message you. ahha

  • @PipzusWowPlayer Macs are easy to use and would be a great choice. I would suggest buying the 21.5 inch iMac and a copy of Windows 7 home premium to dual boot it with. If you get Windows on there you can run any program. I find it easier to use, more enjoyable, and still more sophisticated than windows. I was a PC user and am now a Mac. The screens on the 21.5 inch (iMac) are at HD and the 27 inch (iMac) is 70% higher resolution than HD so its great for games and movies.

  • 70% higher than hd? what is the real screen resolution, hd can be 720, 1080 or even higher.

  • dude, go mac.. trust me itll make ur life a lot better

  • ive never had that problem, from the beginning

  • i bought an alienware over a mac, because the mac can play games, but the alienware can play games on FULL everything, nvidia gforce 9200 gpu FTW!!!!

  • i get the screen spllint in 2 very often :(

  • I had to return my 21" iMac because it was over heating. It would slow down often and quit applications. I had to go back to my old G5 that was, and still is, doing a better job. I am waiting for a new model to buy a newone.

  • does anyone knows where i can find the wallpaper that soldier knows best uses in this video ????

  • 2 - 21.5"

    1st had Flicker & Yellow. Week 45

2nd had Yellow, Loud Hitachi Hard Drive Week 51

Apple upgraded me to 27". Waiting for it to Ship on Feb 18th.

I'm happy for the Upgrade from Base Model to 27" but a bit worried at the same time. Once these issues get fixed, I'll be happy. These iMacs run perfectly. A pleasure to use.

  • Sucks for you, my iMac is still going strong :D

  • lol same i luv my imac.. its the previous gen 24 in tho

  • macs are great once u get to use em!

  • I have a iMac 21.5 inch and never had any problems

  • Hmm, Ubuntu on a Mac.

  • I've got ubuntu on my mac using parallels lol

  • Delete Windows, Delete MacOSx and put

Ubuntu or your favorite OpenOS on every single system, that's called being a TruNoob to the software industry.

  • Want a third opinion?

    Use a Commodore64... kidding.

  • Comment removed

  • I own a 27" i5 iMac, have used it for all kinds of animation & design for the last 3 months.

NO PROBLEM AT ALL, everything works EXCELLENT.

Let me warn you about those websites that show you if yellow screen is a problem on your iMac.. they are all fake. The photo comparison will look yellow on the bottom for every computer you open that page. So yeah, they are making a big buzz about this.. honestly I can tell you this baby is a fast as any computer I've seen (even macpros)

  • HA!

  • @strykeproductions ya use a PC and deal with virus's and anti virus software that sounds like fun!

  • hahaha yeah and deal with shit costumer service

  • how many times have you use mac customer service?? probably never since your a PC user. I'm 23 i've had only macs in my household my entire life, Ive used there customer service 3 times and its no joke been the best service ive had. How many times do you use customer service in a month? who do u even call? the computer company, the software company, the anti virus company, geek squad.....I mean theres companys like geek squad who make a living off PC problems, thats gotta tell you something.....

  • r u talking to me?? i own a 24in iMac, watch my vid ther all done from the isight camera using photo booth

  • I can't say I've used customer service. I build my own PCs. I know how to fix them if anything should go wrong. I think I've called tech support ONCE and that was because of a motherboard that was DOA. You can build a PC for about $1000 less than a Mac. Don't like Windows? Go Linux. They're about the same since most hackers don't code viruses for Linux based systems. PC's by FAR are cheaper than a Mac, and most software is written for Windows based systems. 'Nuff said.

  • guys fk off... i have never had problems with my PC because i have a pc of 2000 € and good virus scanners...

  • cool strykeproductions, glad to hear it, I should be getting my i7 iMac in a couple weeks...should be a good time.

  • the good thing about apple is that they care about costumers and always give you a new machine or anything you need when it's broken.

i live in agentina and my dad had a ibook G4 and he had to change the hard drive 10 times, and they were all free. (that mac was 3 years old, so when it finnaly broke my dad had to buy a new one)

My aunt had an iMac (but one of the old ones that were all white plastic) and she had the flickering problem, i turn it was a motherboard issue and apple replaced it.

  • Thats terrible...

You pay alot for a Mac and it breaks a dozen of times...

They sure dont look after customers...

  • I've had a mac all by life and it's never broken. It's crashed literally about three times.

    Interesting how unreliable windows is!

  • Never Crashed or Broken it hasnt even gone wrong on my Vista ive had for about 2 years.

So i dont know what your on about.

The only problems i have on XP when ive made it break my own fault =)

  • yes!!!!! i know right?!

  • yeah right u really dont know about apple man.. i love my imac

  • My computer no longer has issuses---I literally tossed it into the garbage and bought a new one!

  • I have a 20" iMac that I bought maybe 4 years ago. The video camera was dead on arrival but I too sent it back and had no problems after that. I was told that there are usually a few bad seeds in every batch of iMacs they manufacture. I wonder why these problems always seem to pop up in their desktops?

  • You cant game on a mac as there is no Directx support which makes the best of games possible.

  • Yes, you can game on a mac. You can run Bootcamp and install windows onto it. The video cards in the Macs support both Direct X 10 and Open GL.

  • @scno85

Then why not just buy a PC for half the price? There's just WAY more that you could do with a PC than a Mac.

  • lol so so stupid and ignorant

  • @UnrivaledShogun

Once you install windows onto a mac you can do anything a PC can do in addition to anything your mac could already do.

  • @scno

then, why not just buy a PC for half the price? Theres way more you can do with a PC than a mac AND there's NOTHING you can do with a Mac that you can't do with a PC.

  • @UnrivaledShogun

Here's the thing, for a LOW END iMac, which cost around $1200, you get a computer with a Core 2 Duo processor clocked at 3.06 Ghz, 4 Gb of ram, and Nvidia 9400 GPU. Not to mention it has a 21 inch screen built in. If you are going to get a PC with similar specs, you are going to need to spend more than $600, Trust me, PC I built cost $900 without the monitor and half the ram with a processor clocked at 2.1 ghz.

  • actually you got ripped off .... for 900$ i can get 6gb of ram and a core i7 processor, and a good graphics card.

  • A core i7 clocked at the same speed as the iMac's can cost as much as $550 and 6gb of ddr3 ram can cost anywhere between $160 to $400 depending on the brand, speed and whether it has heat sinks or not. these two parts alone cost can cost $610 and once you have these two parts you still need a motherboard, power supply, hard drive, computer case, disk drive, graphics card and a copy of windows. So if you were to build a decent machine it would still cost you around the same as an iMac.

  • I don't think he ever built a PC and is just talking BS.

  • For 700$ I made my PC, 3.02 GHz processor, Quad Core, 9600 GFroce, 1TB HD, and 6GB of ram. Including, keyboard, wireless mouse, 19.4 Inch LCD screen.. And this thing is a monster, plus Mac's
