you will need something to hold it in alinement when you glass it. make the tabs out of srape fiberglass or metal. glass is easyer to work with. just don't leave any metal in the repair. if you can get to both sides you can do both sides to make it look stock.
Great video. I also have a Fiero GT that I am currently installing a hood scoop in to. Is it a must to use tabs and if so, where did you get them or how did you make them?
