@Mb3th4321 it has to do with the birth of Athena. her mother was Metis and there are two main different stories revolving around her birth. The first being that Metis was mortal who Zeus cheated on Hera with. Hera then convinced Metis to make Zeus let her see him in all his glory, since he promised he could never refuse her, which ended up incinerating her and so he swallowed her fetus which was Athena who later burst out of his head.

So then he started to lay with Metis but instead he opened his mouth wide and swallowed her whole and after a long time his head began to ache and so he asked Hephaestus to split open his head.
