I'd rather go with stainless steel.
No coating necessary because no risk of aluminum contamination through resin cracks.

Go for it. You do trade off the extreme light weight of the aluminum though.

what if the coating goes away on the inside...?
i think i'd rather go with a contigo bottle... its plastic but is bpa free also

so the inside is aluminum?
cuz there are atudies that say aluminum can be harmful too. The SIGG's have an enamil coating on the inside to prevent liquid contact with the aluminum...are these the same with the coating?

Yes, these (and all aluminum water bottles) have a coating on the inside.
