  • Does anyone know how I can find his June 30, 2011 Lugano Estival performance? Any info will be greatly appreciated! :-)

  • Great song and brilliant vocals. IMO he had one of the greatest rock voices. Check out "Politician" on Live Cream Vol11. Thanks for this post

  • Steve Hunter's articulation and phrasing always does it for me

  • This is the shit.Love the man - like "now "...you dig. ? ;-)

  • superb!

  • What a jam (!) between Hunter's screaming lead & Bruce's lines Weaving,,thick, punchy & sweet funK-ay.Jack- Happy Birthday on the 14th man- to help celebrate the day we should play your music non stop , dawn to dusk.;-)

  • Another gem brought to our hearing by John Peel, RIP.

  • Listen to that frickin' bass!! So bitey and growly and funky and groovy. AND, this dude was singing at the same time, that's hard to do. Lovin' Jack Bruce...

  • it's hard to find an affordable cd copy of this album. great song.

  • @DDInDaHouse187 I think it's my fav Bruce album of all time. Let me know if you find it. I'd buy one too!

  • @krsongs i found a japanese mini lp cd, and its an absolute gem. So many great songs, like this, Timeslip, and One.

  • @DDInDaHouse187 WHERE did you find this?? How about Pieces of Mind?? Running Through Our Hands?? Even Out of the Strom is awsome.

  • @krsongs i got lucky and found it on ebay. All those songs are great, I just used those 3 as examples. Check ebay regularily and you might find a copy. I had to pay about $30 for mine... but it was well worth it.

  • yes have EOTH

+ No answer very odd but cool

  • Another great. :3

  • Jim Keltner

  • One of my favorite alltime records!

The guitarist, Wagner from the Detroit band, The Frost before he went on to play with Lou Reed...

Jack Bruce could really do it...wide screen technicolor rock that walked the line with an experimental avant edge...

Does any one have the Jazz Composers Orchestra stuff? Escalator Over the Hill with Carla Bley?

No Answer with Michael Mantler? That is a Samuel Beckett piece set to music with Jack Bruce just on vocals!

  • The guitarist was Steve Hunter, and this was AFTER he and Wagner played with Lou Reed.

  • @dunara Good call. Jack Bruce and Steve Hunter played on Lou Reed's "Berlin" album!

  • @microdot I'm SURE my brother has escalator over the hill on vinyl. Same with the Mantler album. (I remember the EOTH album was a big set, came in a 3/4" thick jacket! And it was a gold/yellow cover.

  • @microdot

Check out Business men...Bruce and John McGlaughlin power trio on Escalator.

The Jazz Composers Orchestra had some stunning stuff in their catalog.

Mantlers imaginary movie soundtracks with Larry Coryell

There was a huge multi record set that featured an incredible Coryell feedback solo as part of an orchestral piece by Mantler....

Edward Gorey pieces set to music featuring Terje Rypdal and Robert Wyatt....

  • My favourite song! Awesome how the bass envolves with the text and the rest of the song - and it doesn't loose the groove!

  • keep keeping it down... if its hangin' around!

    great song!
