im also having an issue with the 3d curves. Whenever i start to draw a new curve, the point always starts at the origin, and i can only manipulate the points horizontally.
@simfazza i think i have a vid for that but if not..
make 3 planes for each view (front, top, side.) Just make a line and extrude it. apply a material and then select an image for the material. you can scale the image as needed. then make it non-select-able in the options(alt+enter) so you dont click on it when manipulating.

that was bothering me in the beginning as well.
Press f5 to change the drawing plane. that will fix it.

Thanks heaps buddy - great vid. But how did u manage to put in the orthogonal of the Boeing into the three views??
