  • that is fucking brilliant

  • shalom!

  • a shame that a tv show that in the beggining was brilliant, is now so bad... and retract such a brilliant guy like bob dylan in such a stupid way

  • it was easier to understand than his music

  • That's not Bob Dylan, that's Tom Petty.

  • that wasn't even an accurate parody... bob isn't that enthusiastic..

  • its funny because it sounds like him

  • Insulting Bob Dylan is really the last straw, for this guy. Fuck The Simpsons. You've done nothing to compare to the works of Bob Dylan.

  • @mmbn23 Umad?

  • @mmbn23

    Go to bed, Bob

  • @mmbn23

    as a bob dylan fan...

its a freaking joke , don't take it personnal lol

  • Bob Dylan isn't Boomhauer. Fuck you Matt Groening, this is really the nail in the coffin for me to stop watching Fox period.

  • i never gonna watch simpsons again. fuck this, im out

  • @HitozOm Shalom.

  • wat?

  • disappointing

  • The Shalom at the end just made the whole thing funnier lol

  • I remember when Simpsons used to be fun.

  • Bob belives in Jesus

  • jewish me thinks

  • King of the Hill did Dylan 100x better

  • @eddy67 definitely.

  • @eddy67 and funnier.

  • Just SO lame. If you can't get Bob Dylan to play Bob Dylan, then forget it.

  • He said Shalom in the end... He's becoming a jew.

  • eh, kinda Family Guy level stuff here. Not Doh! level lame, just Meh.

  • I understand the joke! Bob Dylan mutters a lot during interviews. (So what?) And he has great affection to the "spiritual" and religion.

Bob is great, the simpsons are great and together they are excellent.

  • I wanna see a conversation between Bob Dylan and Ozzy Osbourne.

  • its hilarious how many butthurt dylan fans there are in here

  • The worst thing is that the cliché of his voice was the funniest joke in the video.

  • i could do ALOT better than that

  • Ain't gonna work on Matt Groening's farm no more.

  • @BobBerkeley Perfect lol

  • @BobBerkeley Haha good joke :)

  • Its brilliant that even though there are idiots in the public eye 24/7 at the moment, people are still so unoriginal that they INSIST on making jokes about LEGENDS, that aren't even funny, all Bob Dylan has done be wise, help people through tough times & speak the truth but i guess you're too busy being idiots to comprehend that.

  • i never understood these jokes, never once had trouble understanding one word he said

  • LOL! I wonder if he ever laughs at this joke? It is truly funny!

  • I don't get it. It's not hard to understand Dylan, in fact the way he sings is designed to emphasize what he is saying. Nevermind the fact that he doesn't sound like this when he's talking. Not trying to be a dick or anything, just saying that there's really no basis for this joke.

  • Yeah...I heard shalom at the end...lol

  • So he's Jewish.

  • BobDylan is my fav singer......people just HAVE to make fun of awesome people... :(

  • @DillytheKid2000 I love Dylan but I have to admit this is funny :)

  • copying by griffin..

  • He looks like Jafar from Alladin.

  • oooh, it's hard to understand Bob Dylan. This joke is as tired as anything else on the simpsons these days

  • Shalom.

  • I studied that religion in college. They tend to push thier beliefs a bit too much for my taste.

  • I have to agree with him

  • Oh really Bob? Me too.

  • sorry didnt mean to offend you

  • i love dylan so much i dont like seeing him being made fun of!

  • @annetteibbo I dont think they are making fun of him......... And if you love Dylan so much, you would know this is a pretty acurate.

  • @annetteibbo I'm sure Dylan finds this funny, if he takes himself seriously enough to be offended then I wouldn't like him as much.

  • @Itscaj glad u speak for someone else. good luck in finding a lifelong partner

  • @wighto73 Why thank you! Good luck to you too! Youtube comments are for opinions are they not?

  • It speaks volumes about a man who is willing to make fun of the very thing that has made his career such a success.

  • I'm amazed the Simpsons got Bob Dylan in to do the voice over, imagine if they tried to impersonate him!

  • @Itscaj this is the simpsons impersonating dylan

  • @Timbuktoo22 It was a joke...

  • Wadsworth Constant applies.

  • Hahaha gotta love the simpsons and of course Bob Dylan <3

  • not funny

  • he said "scholom" the end, i know that is from some religon, i cant remember

  • @50srocknrollfan18 "shalom" is hebrew... from the jewish faith :|

  • @tchock so he is converting to be jewish?

  • zimmerman zimmerman zimmerman zimmerman

Haha, what you gonna do now Bob Dylan? I'm on the internet, you can't do anything about it. What you gonna do, huh? What you gonna-

    *gets struck by lightning*

  • hahahahha

  • they got it wrong. look at the real interviews. Bob sounds exactly like Bart Simpson, the kid who gets through all the b.s. still standing. It's as he said in "It's Allright, Ma": "from toy guns that spark to flesh-colored Christs that glow in the dark, it's plain to see that nothing much is sacred". This is not a world of religion, it's a world of hypocrisy, where religion in all forms is nothing more than the tool of the state. as inferred in "YOU Got to Serve Somebody", most serve evil.

  • One thing is clear: there is no more Shalom ;)

  • he converts to Judaism

  • kim catrall <3

  • No, it's not Dylan's real voice, but actually, Dylan was originally cast in the Chili Cook off episode as the coyote (El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer) but Dylan refused so the part went to Johnny Cash.

  • Jajajajajaj que graciosa la imitacio njaja

  • Bob Dylan should vanish mysteriously

  • @BlackBile13

    Why?

  • @6musky Because he's done.

  • @BlackBile13

No he's not, his last album in 2009 was no.1 in Britain and America for weeks, and he plays to packed stadiums all around the world.

  • @6musky And everyone buying the tickets and records are people who liked his old stuff. I mean DUH of course he's sold out concerts and best selling, he's bob goddamn dylan, but what has he done since 1975 that anyone can genuinely say is an artist at his best. An old skeleton riding his own coattails.

  • @BlackBile13

That's not true, you see lots of young people at his shows. If people are still buying his stuff and the tickets, he's not 'done'. He plays loads of newer stuff at the shows, it's not like he's just living off his 60s songs.

  • @BlackBile13

I got into Bob Dylan in 2004. I loved Love and Theft which came out in 2001 and Modern Times which came out in 2006. That just tossed your hypothesis out the window... in your words, "DUH" lol... seriously though, you can't make a statement seem like a fact just b/c it is your opinion. His recent work made me a fan, not anything pre 2001, although I love all eras of his work regardless of what hooked me. I'd rather listen to 90s on up stuff! :)

  • Oh great, it's the same damn Dylan joke.

  • @PlanetFailure its almost as much of a dana carvey reference. he used to do this one a lot

  • It's not even Bob Dylan doing the voice.

  • @59771006 no it's not Bob

  • im not impressed with the b dylan contribution on utb

  • what?

  • btw: that presenters voice is Kim Cattral's

  • Well i tell ya what I found a whole way to vay to ve. EEYOU want a zit you all right fitz-uh but i tell ya what there's no moooore shalom.

  • They lost their touch about 10 years ago IMO... always trying to keep up with today's kids, giving them mobiles, and rap songs all over the place- not good- the early 90's had the best episodes- all timeless!

  • Dylan did great stuff for decades. The Simpsons was funny for two and a half years and now it's complete shit. Even Harry Shearer and other people who used to work on it have come out and said its shit

  • Comment removed

  • Hmmm....this is more of a Family Guy gag isn't it? O.o

  • FUCK that clip, my love for the simpsons has gone down tremendously.

  • fuck bob dylan, the simpsons rule.

  • @majorblood87 No fuck you!

  • @majorblood87 Or, lets say that both are excelent. You moron.

  • @andyscoot43 nah fuck him

  • simpsons has been shit since series 19 imo

  • @glovemonkey uh, try season 10

  • this is not funny, I loved the thing themethminute did on him, but this is just lame.

  • I love Dylan with all my passion but this is hilarious.

  • Right Now... THE SIMPSONS SUCKS!!! Pure Shit!!!

  • @ermac59 the simpsons never suck...best sit-com ever

  • @BlindJourney666 the problem is they try to appeal to too many people that aren't worth appealing to.they act too smart in a smug way whereas south park and family guy don't bother with sophisticated words to get their message across. it's all about whether you want slapstick humor, intelligent humor, a mix of both, or what you consider one type of humor others wouldn't. It's this thing called p-e-r-s-p-e-c-t-i-v-e and i know that sounds obvious but dang people argue too much over stupid things.

  • look, i love Bob Dylan, but this is simply a joke, the Simpsons take the piss out of everyone, they are not crossing a line, they are just making a joke, get over it

  • He doesn't talk like that. Not at all...

  • @M3town3 Hey guess what? *gasp* It's a joke!

  • Shalom??? XDDD

  • Shalom

  • in case you didnt get it he said buddhism

  • ha. ha. no.

  • i just found it repulsive wtf happened to original simpsons like remember the 3rd ep 1st season that speach homer gave , it touched my . and shame for scamping on bob dylan's odd singing and how nazely . FU

  • lol it's funny because it's not funny

  • vivi

  • Ah well its apparent that this type of comedy requires intelligence to understand and find humor in.

  • Bob Dylan is awesome but The Simpsons aren't.

  • so original. bob dylan sounds funny. ha. ha. ha.

  • .. da fuq?

  • ... the fuck?

  • i love the simpsons but this was by far the worst impression theyve ever done. it wasnt even accurate or funny

  • hahahahaha...awesome. i've been watching dozens of bob dylan interviews on youtube for the past half an hour. this is by far the best one!!!

  • shalom

  • I don't think this was funny, so im going to annouce that to everyone hoping to make people think im cool for finding something unfunny.

  • can anybody write what he's saying?

  • @AIephUno well, ill tell u one thing, a whole red V ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, told Zed i wont ride a guitar one time no more

    Shalom

    ur welcome

  • @6fanboy

    This is what I heard.

"Well, I'll tell you one thing a hole a ved a vi, HUGH once said you ride a guitar right there no more... shalom."

  • @RDBeatnik thanks ^^

  • Chloe is Kim Cattrall from Sex and the City.

  • There was a time when the jokes on this show were cerebral and thought provoking. Those days are long gone.

  • Its great

  • BOO!

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHA

  • Another horrible attempt at comedy, in bad taste by todays Simpsons writers. It's painful to know that the Simpsons have died.

  • @cdveco I know, I hate that in recent years The Simpsons has been jumping on the Family Guy and South Park bandwagon of being as offensive as possible. They're not nearly as bad as those shows yet, but I much prefered when their humor was a lot more tasteful. Even their raunchy humor wasn't overly offensive.

  • Not understanding what Bob Dylan is saying is a common joke, but since when does Bob Dylan talk like the Swedish chef, and why is he gesturing like he's experiencing a seizure? This show just hasn't been funny or insightful for about a decade. It's just desperate.

  • The "shalom" killed me.

  • All I got was "Shalom.". Think he's Jewish now.

  • i think subtitles may be necessary -_-

  • I`m a huge fan of the simpsons but this was lame..

  • Gawd. It's like they're trying to make The Simpsons more like Family Guy so they can make a better claim that Family Guy is ripping off The Simpsons.

The Simpsons are the U.S.'s Doctor Who. The only reason this crap is still running is because it's been running so long that nobody wants to be immortalized as the one who finally pulled the plug on it.

  • @Terastas I'm not sure about that. This clip is from an episode at least a couple of years old.

  • @Terastas Only Doctor Who stays new and fresh by changing the dotor every once in a while. I do admit though when the daleks come back every six episodes I question weather or not they will think of new plot twists ever, but there is a whole lot of material they can build on e.g: the doctors daughter.

  • The Simpsons has been stupid for a long time.

  • He's right, there is no more shalom

  • eh... not funny

  • sounds almost French

  • @3089280288 ya like a drunken french dude, on some other expensive rare drug.

  • @Kdouglas24 songwriter? He's arguably the greatest POET of the 20th Century the best songwriter, the best musician, the best writer and the most influential musician since Mozart

  • arguably the best songwriter of the 20th century. who cares what his voice sounds like, this world would be shit if he never became a performer. at least he got up there and did it.

  • @FunkMastaMegaFlex In your opinion.

  • @FunkMastaMegaFlex you're not smart. maybe once you experience a heartbreak in your life, bob dylan might make some sense to you.

  • @FunkMastaMegaFlex i feel honored to tell you that youre wrong :D

  • @TonyPizzaro I feel honored to inform you that your delusional! You should be thanking me!

  • shalom? alright!

  • The accent is spot on.

  • I just smokd a bunch of pot.....I understood what he said!!!!!!!

  • Why do cartoons always portray Dylan as having some sort of speech impediment? He speaks perfectly fine, and doesn't sound anything like this.

  • Can't really understand him on cartoons, but no one has written songs like him.

  • WTF?

  • I dont get it!

  • @ClearPiss1 listen to bob dylan, and he converted to christianity, before he was jewish (at least i think thats it i'm not sure)

  • @Rcpengy123 Yes, he was born Jewish and converted to Christianity. He had some trouble with religion, and what not, but I think he's kind of just a laid back Christian now. He went through a phase, In the 70s I believe where he kinda fell of the map and started playing a bunch of Churches and doing Dylan-ish gospel music. :-)

  • @tompetty1976 I don't think he's still Christian. every now and then he visits the Chabad Lubavitch in his hometown of Hibbings, Minnesota.

  • @luisexuperion Either way, it doesn't really matter, I don't want to know about that stuff, I just want what they offer, music. That is why I hate tabloids and celebrity gossip. Bunch of crap if you ask me. That's why I like Tom Petty, he was never a celebrity, he is just a humble musician. He said, that if he couldn't have gotten the famous gig, he would be just as happy playing in some bar every other night. :-) That's the stuff I love.

  • @tompetty1976 yea same here, I like real artists not all the crap that we see today like Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and Miley Cyrus to name a few. I haven't heard that much of Tom Petty though, would you recommend a starter album?

  • @Depends on what type of music you like I like Long After Dark, their breakthrough album was Damn the Torpedoes. If you don't know much about them, I'd go for the Greatest Hits first. If u just want to jump the gun, the best thing you can get, is Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Playback. It's a 6 CD set, but it's about $40 its really great though, then you can get 4 CD set of live songs, for about 20$. it's really really great. Live Anthology. But as for as albums go, they did a bit of er'thing
