2 ways to look at it IMO. I definitely went overboard and splurged and it's a nice mower no doubt, but there is something to be said for the "junker" that you just change the oil once every 5 years and just dump it back in the shed when your done, who cares about cleaning it up. If you fussy and a neat freak some times brand new equipment is not the way to go. Just a POS that when it rusts out and or breaks down you just go on craigs list and bag another one has it's advantages.
Usually during the coarse of mowing the front and back I'll start it about a dozen times. I have no doubt it'll last the time it takes you to mow your lawn. The manual says to plug it in after every use. I just plug it in the night before I know I'm gonna mow. Why you only get one key is kinda cheap on Toro's part IMO. I almost lost it on the grass once.
This will be my 3rd summer and the finish is holding up great, no paint chips. Being red it's faded a bit though. The electric starter is kinda dodgy, it seizes up and needs to be hit with a rubber mallet to jar it loose to starting and sometimes when cold it won't crank fast enough to start it, you need to manual pull start, but is always started. It would need to be serviced but getting the mower in the back of a small car for just this problem is to much hassle. Cuts and runs great though.
screw the little electric start. It starts 1 pull every time, don't be a puss.

Sad Toro doesn't make a 29 inch blade version so I can cut my grass in half the time.

This is the first new mower I've bought so I splurged. All the others were like under $100 junkers that I treated like crap.
