  • well, then put a rubicon against it. seems about fair. and most lr/rr come with front and rear arb lockers

  • Give the jeep some lockers and it would be twice as capable as the land rover.

  • Jeep 4evar

  • bigdreamer66 What a hay name and land rovers are the best jeeps cant go anywhere its not the driver is the car

  • @Xrobnunez24 The driver has a HUGE impact on the vehicle...they don't drive them selves...If the guy in the Jeep would hit that obstacle with a little more momentum he would have cleared it no problem. Another thing to state.. MOST people who buy Land Rovers wouldn't dream of getting their "toy" dirty. Not all but most. Same with Hummers (H2) Jeep is the best out there because they're cheaper to manufacture than LR's and H2's and they are more capable off the assembly line.

  • land rover is the best

  • Jeeps can go anywhere...... but not all drivers can.

  • he has no idea of off road

  • I would take they jeep any day personal. 4.0L is still running at 385,000km. Never left me stranded. This is a video demonstrating TC. Not how capable these vehicles are.

  • Land Rover is simply applying a bit of brake to the wheel without traction causing the diff to send traction to the other wheel. And yes in this exact situation it helps. In many cases pumping or fanning the brake will also cause the jeep to send some power to the wheel with least traction and can be handy in situations like this (but where you don't actually have a choice of what approach angle to use).

I am not criticizing the video, it is a good example of traction control doing its job.

  • apples and oranges. Drowned 4.0l cherokee and got an S1 LR V8i, then i look at these comparison videos and think wtf? jeep was great in some situations, LR is great in others. But comparing a 2.5 ton vehicle to a 1.5 ton vehicle is just silly.

Have taken both cars to the tip of Australia and up the creb track here in QLD and both are very capable. This video shows one thing, that approach angle doesn't work for a live axle jeep just as anyone who knows anything about differentials will tell you,

  • The jeep has shit axle articulation. That's why it lost.

  • I don't give a shit about the vehicles. What I want to know is why they chose to fuck up the edge of the road to prove something? Nice way to tread lightly.....

  • Messing up the roadside, yay! At least you didn't throw too much rubbish onto the road surface.

  • once again, someone making a video with stupid drivers

  • Not the vehicle's fault as much as the driver's.

  • Why are you filming straight into the sun? That was annoying to watch. Also, get the dude with the cell phone out of the way of what you are trying to film.

  • just one of the reason why you should own a land rover or rang rover over jeep if you want a real suv.

  • Worst comparison ever, vehicles are not comparitive....I will beat the Landrover hands down with a Grand Cherokee...hie hie

  • @execbrok What do you want to compare it to a Defender 90 or 110 and it will be the same outcome.

  • fuckin hit it, pussy!

  • If im driving a jeep with an open diff, im not going to approach on an angle cuz as soon as i get one wheel without traction im screwed. id go right at it...its only a curb...RAM IT! lol

The fact that they are deliberately pitting a AWD with a 4x4 open diff and thier approach doesnt do either vehicle justice takes away from the legitimacy here. But id give it to a landrover anyday...all in all better offroad vehicle...if ya can afford it.

  • My brother -in law has the same Jeep in the video and I have virtually the same Land Rover when he and I have been out wheeling the only way he could make it up the same stuff I could do is to get a running start with a lot of throttle. Needless to say he wants a Land Rover now and wants to junk the Jeep.

  • This is what a stock 03 Land Rover can do against a stock Jeep. Of particular note is the Land Rover here in question is running on low profile street tires and on top of that the transfer case in the Land Rover is an open transfer case making the Land Rover a truly all-wheel-drive only vehicle. The Jeep got beat by an all-wheel-drive vehicle not a 4x4. To be a 4x4 the Land Rover would have to have a locking transfer case like the Jeep. In 04 the LR went to a locking transfer case and 4x4.

  • @jeffro0502 Finally someone knows about AWD and 4x4 !!!!! Thats exctly how it is my friend!!!!!!

  • @jeffro0502 you're not explaining it right. There is no such thing as an "open transfer case". The difference between an AWD set up and a 4x4 set up is a differential. AWD cars have a center differential instead of a transfer case. This allows the front and rear tires to move at different speeds so that the drivetrain doesn't experience warping when driving on pavement. You're entire argument is also entirely wrong also. The LR has a locking center diff. It's the same as the jeep when locked.

  • @TopGearFan92 do your research, that 03 land rover does not have a locking transfer case. Also it is an open transfer case or limited slip transfer case much like an open differential, but it is none the less a transfer case as you can select from high and low range. Now the 04 Land Rover Discovery has a lockable transfer case, which takes it from an AWD vehicle with traction control to a 4x4 vehicle with traction control. Which still makes it even more capable than the jeep.

  • @jeffro0502 What are you talking about? Do your research. There is no such thing as a limited slip or open transfer case. If you knew anything about cars or truck then you would know this. The land rover has a center "DIFFERENTIAL". Say it with me... Diff-er-en-tial. Not a transfer case. A transfer case is either on or off and maintains a 50/50 split. Please google the difference between AWD vs 4wd before you open your mouth. I was incorrect about the LR though in 03 they dont have a locking dif

  • @jeffro0502 Also The LR has traction control while the jeep does not. This means the LR won't let any of the wheels just spin while the other tire has no power. Both the Jeep and the LR have front and rear open differentials. So LR wins because the jeep has no way of not letting one wheel just spin. However, we are talking about a price difference of over 30k between the two trucks. If you drop a locking differential in the front and rear of the jeep for about 2-4k, the jeep will win every time.

  • @TopGearFan92 O3 discoverys come with a transfer case but land rover eliminate the link to engage the 4x4, so from 2001 to 2003 all discoverys are AWD..... For discos owners, there's an eazy up-grade to convert this AWD to 4x4.

  • @saturbo1107 simply lacking the ability to lock the central differential doesn't make it an AWD. you also have to consider the fact that even those model disco's are in permanent 4WD mode, and they have the low range function, which no AWD vehicle has. if anything, its somewhere in the middle

  • @jeffro0502 finally someone who understands!

  • Only way to settle the big "Landrover v's Jeep" dispute is to have a face off between a standard and unmodified Landrover Defender and a standard and unmodified Jeep. send them both over a challenging off road course or two and see who comes out on top. My moneys on the Defender personally.

  • @tdci160 Imagin if an lr suv beat a jeep, A land rover defendef its even more capable. To beging with the, Defender comes wit a long travel suspetion and PLUS the all come with a 3 link suspention in the back wich alaud them used that Suspention in serius terrains, also the come with """"Adjustable traction control"""" Like any LR today or RR... Greate departure angle, Plus This truck is made in aluminum wich makes the truck super light. Not to mention a 4.6 V-8 Eng with 325 lbs torque......

  • @tdci160 lol i think its already been done mate :) didn't see any jeeps on the camel trophy did you?

  • @tdci160 - I agree bit with 1 caveat ... they must have the SAME driver. It's time people stop praising just the vehicle & realize that driver ability & a knowledge of your vehicle makes a world of difference in any challenge.

  • i like reading the comments from the jeep fans: 'shit driver', 'wasnt in 4wd', 'if it had a 3inch lift it would smash the landrover'.........for all u jeep fans getting upset, dont think of it as jeep vs landrover, think of it as it really is which is traction control vs standard open diffs.

  • @2bornottoby Hahahahaha.. I know right. People just don't get it..... But I tell you something. Once u modified a jeep its another story, But onve again. Once u modified a rover is another story too =D..... The white jeep it's my cousing, Now sit's on 38" swampers and my disco is riding on 35" Pitbulls rockers!!!! Now His got a big advantage over me!!!

  • I have a 20 year old volvo saloon and I reckon I could do better than the guy in the jeep.

  • open diffs are not true 4wd, no matter how you stack it. traction controll applies

brake to the spinning wheel forcing the other wheel to move the vehicle.

however a locker in the rear would still be better.

  • this also has a lot to do with clearance man of course the rover did better vs. a stock jeep if the jeep had a lift it would have blown the rover out of the water

  • i love that ROVER!! it looks very clean nice rims nice paint and i love the black grill. im so jealous lol :D

  • Is the jeep even 4x4

  • I have open diffs on my 2008 Jeep JK but it has traction control which actually helps in situations like this. Kinda acts like a soft locker.

  • lol a prius could do that...

    ps i hate priuses

  • If you left foot braked that may have helped, dragging the brake can trans-fare enough power to the non spinning wheel by dragging and slowing the turning wheel. Works sometimes.

  • drivers = fail

  • @nayboardie not really, this is more of a demonstration of open differentials (aka non locking differentials) vs open differentials with traction control when attacking this kind if incline at a angle. even with traction control on open differentials it still does not beat locking differentials.

So no the drivers do not = fail, its open differentials that = fail. enough said

  • @madmax2069 whats wrong with living for a change, take a run up and have some fun. you sound like a 60 year old

  • @nayboardie What does that have to do with anything with what i said ?

    Troll harder next time

  • @madmax2069 I am pretty confident that it could of been traversed easily if the Jeep had a limited slip rear and perhaps the front sway bar disconnected. Lockers should not of been needed.

  • @OdinsCloud you would still be dangling the tires (which would be spinning due to lack of traction or no traction) at this angle of attack even if you did remove the sway bars, Yes you would gain extra wheel articulation but would still suffer from having a open diff (loss of traction) and would still make things hard to traverse at this angle like they are demonstrating here. I am not talking about the grade itself, watch?v=-S2nDDvKHoA as a example.

  • its pretty fuckin sad wen a jeep (the ideal 4x4) cant even go over a lil bank!!..wtf??

id rather have a land rover any day!..theyre a luxury car and theyll still do better than any pos jeep!!

  • i drove my stock jeep with open diff for a while before i lifted it 4 in with 35 in tires and even stock it done better than that...

  • Both of those vehicles had no real suspension articulation at all. I have a 92 RR classic and I have never once had an issue such as the two vehicles in this video had. It has to be a helluva angle to get any of my tires off the ground and I still have the sway bars in place.

  • landrover wins with better axle articulation as well am a mechanic as well so keeping wheels on the ground helps a lot aswell

  • jeeps really are an embarresment

  • iv said it before and i will say it again jeeps are shit

  • @tomtom590

you are ignorant. Landies, yotas and jeeps are some of the best off road rigs in the world. They have there place. In the states you barely can find a LR on the trails. Most are at the mall looking pretty, what a shame. The newer yotas are rarely out as well. Oh and before you diss on the jeeps lets see your awesome vids. Not talking about the puddle jumping that you are doing.

  • @TeXJ2424 wow! you got some hardcore vids offroading not! mate puddle jumping diffrence is my landrover will go through water yours would probably stall in the water coz your dizzy would get wet lol, but i will give you some facts as to why i dislike jeeps firstly i know people that own them they can rarely go where a landrover can, they have crap suspension prehistoric leaf springs and terrible 4 wheel drive no difflock, landrover have used proper coil overs since the 60's jeeps still use leafs

  • @tomtom590 actually all new jeeps since 1990 have had at least front coil springs and all jeeps since 2002 (correct me if im wrong) have had full coil springs.

  • @traina26 took them a while land rover has used coils since 68 lol

  • @TeXJ2424

Because American's always distort the real use of a car..........those land rovers SHOULD be on the trails.

But American's (who I believe should ALL be nuked and raped and exterminated, that's another story) and those NIGGERS, ruin our European cars, they put chrome wheels and "low ride" them? What is wrong with you guys.

Land Rover has been kicking Jeep arse for a century.

Actually, every European thing is better than the American version.

  • @slobhinav Wow, you really are jaded. Those fine Euro cars like Citroen,Yugo,... ok.... Those land rover arent even being put off the pavement even in Europe. The only true off road Land Rover is the Defender 90 and 110s. The rest just have nice little gadgets, that will rarely be used except maybe in snow. And no Land Rover has not been beating Jeep in off road. At least in the states, the Jeep brand has more aftermarket support than any other vehicle.

  • @TeXJ2424

Yeah, I know Jeep's are great vehicles, both are good at their own things. If you want to off road in Africa or Europe, Land Rovers are great. Off roading in US is different, the Jeep is better for offroading there.

And I was kidding all bout that racist crap lol.

  • @slobhinav actually land rover hasn't even been around for a century and the first land rovers were jeep frames and parts all they did was put coil springs on and change the body so if land rovers had to copy of a jeep then i wonder who is better after all they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

  • @traina26

We shouldn't get to hat imitation flattery stuff..........or else...........alot of American stuff would be "hurt"

  • @traina26 The first prototype land rovers made in 1947 only used Jeep chassis (which were soon changed) and used the engine and gearbox out of a Rover P3 saloon car.

  • @TeXJ2424lol sorry im not as keen as you and post every video i do up, on the internet, lol puddle jumping i dont see any vids with going through water, thats cos your crappy petrol engines will cut out in them my diesel is far superior to your petrol engine the dizzy and coil will get covered in water, ark and cut out, all i see in your vids is a garbage plastic jeep falling over, your a shit driver and your unstable leaf sprung car is muck!!

  • @tomtom590 yep you got me, golly gee you are awesome, sorry that i challenged you...

  • @TeXJ2424 thats alright, its good for people to get a reality check every now and then...

  • that guy in the jeep doesn't even have it in four wheel drive

  • @mikeboise The jeep was in 4low, The Land Rover on hig gear not using the CDL or ARB lockers... Try to understand some aspects in this video: Open diferentials and and how traction control work. Look for this info online.. It will help you understand the video... Thanks for watching!!!!

  • @mikeboise looks like you dont even understand how a 4x4 system without locking diffs works... it will just spin the wheel thats easyest to spin, traction control just applys the brakes to that wheel making harder to spin forcing the other wheels to spin. With all the diffs locked all the wheels will spin at the same speed not that hard to understand really.

  • the jeep wasn't even in 4wd?

  • i own a 4 dr sahara edition, Jeep can do more than this... depends of who is driving.

  • @SPQRnonOmnisMoriar The point here was to show that any 4wd with an open diferential on this particular situation will come into a halt bcz the wheel on the gound will stop spining transfering all the traction to the wheel that can move eazy so the wheel on the air will spind loosing traction...........

  • @saturbo1107 ok bro, got ya :)

  • @saturbo1107 Let make a 4x4 school for those people that are only fanatic... Jjjj I undertand you very good, I have a F150 with positraction and the diferent between my granddpas Jeep(with open diferential) are big... Open diferential are not good when off roading...Sorry about my English...

  • hears the thing, if you are in the market for a new jeep, the disco 2 are a better deal, sure jeep has improved over the years, but u get right down to it, bye the time you fix up ur jeep to make it comparable to the disco, well u might of well bought the disco, yes I own a jeep, and its up for sale so I can buy a disco.

  • Terrible driving

  • only saw the jeep in 2wd whereas the rover was in 4wd. not a fair comparison at all

  • you're right man the jeep was in 2wd the rover in 4 wd this guys dnt knw shit about off roading bsides look at that supid mountain

  • @45564556k1 no im pretty sure the jeep was in 4wd too ;) at 2:18 you see its front wheel spinning.

  • the jeep didn't make it because of all the oil the LR leaked made it too slippery......

  • Try that against a Jeep Rubicon will air lockers front and rear LOL

  • good video, but isn't Metallica, no way it could be Metallica

  • La razon por que la land rover entra facil, es por que pesa mucho mas, mete a 6 personas en el jeep y hazlo de nuevo y veras que hace lo mismo que la land rover

  • this is not about jeep vs LR, this is about dif lock or no dif lock.

Any car in the world will come to a halt with one wheel in the air without diff lock.

  • @lauwke123 Well gess what! The land rover 2003 don't come with central diff lock.... Now explaing me how she made it???? And the jeep wit a diff lock can't.........

  • this is stupid...its a curb.

  • Second, find a driver for the jeep that isn't a complete idiot. If you've got open diffs, get a little speed. Momentum will pull you over. My buddy took hills twice the size of that last night with open diffs. Come on now.

  • Cool video. But the argument for disco vs. jeep is stupid. Land rover is a much more expensive car with lockers already built in. A jeep is thousands of dollars cheaper without lockers. So spend the money on a detroit for the rear an ARB for the front, you'll go anywhere plus some in the jeep and still save some money to play around with. And you'll want a solid axle when rock crawling.

  • @BigWalkinTallV Waaiiiiit right there....Discos with lockes from factory??????????? oh yea a 2003 0r even a 2004? Dude before posting something that you don't know, search a litle in the web and then post what ever you want..... This is a 2003 with no lockers and no center diff lock...... Now the jeep here come with center diff lock.

  • @saturbo1107 Whoops, my mistake. "Traction control". And I am not sure what you meant in your last sentence but the Jeep does not have a center diff, if that is what you said. My point, regardless of my error in terminology, the Rover has a system in place to control wheel spin and power. The Jeep does not. Hence, stock improvements like this from the factory make the difference in the video above. Although the Jeep could have easily topped that hill if he gave it some skinny pedal.

  • @saturbo1107 Didn't they have traction control 99-04? When in a twist, any form of traction control or lockers makes all the difference. If the diffs were completely open and ESPECIALLY if there was no center diff lock, it would not have moved the way it did. Also, there is only a "center diff lock" in the Jeep if it has the full time 4WD option. Otherwise, it is never UNlocked. Oh, well. Almost every thread like this is apples and oranges anyway. Drive your rovers and jeeps and stfu :-)

  • @floydargue The jeep was loock on the center.... The disco was open on the center and diff also open, the only thing helping the disco here is the traction control...

  • HEY MOM LOOK AT ME! AM HARDCORE CLIMBMING THIS REALY TALL MOUNTIAN.

  • @THENOXG HAHAHAHAAH You really helping the jeep guys LMAOOOO

  • they're retarded man it is stupid they're happy with that-u cant even call that a mountain

  • land rover defender would wipe the floor with any piece of american shit off road :P shame land rover didnt keep the 200 tdi tho :/

  • @landykid I know men!!!

  • your stupid jeeps rule pure american breed

  • @45564556k1 LMAO! Grammar ?

  • @landykid Maybe if you have the money. Your saying that these people who just got their first vehicle and like to offroad, should just lie down and give up when compared to a Land Rover? I mean, don't get me wrong. I am a car fanatic i see both sides, Land Rovers are good for offroading. Provided you can afford one. But some people can only do what they can with a $500 jeep cherokee. Mostly, it comes down to the driver. The rest is up to how much money you want to sink into your vehicle.

  • for one...put the jeep in 4 wheel...and 2...dont use the breaks at the crest of the hill...you must be tryin to sell that land rover because you can do a lot more mods to the jeep for far less money

  • Isn't the grand cherokee or the commander a better competitor for the land rover?

Since they are in the same class?

  • Shiiiittt............ My 1978 Dodge B200 van has done waaayyyy more extreme off`roading then that and never got stuck. I took it through almost 3 feet of mud and all it has is RWD and it did just fine

  • Who ever was driving the Disco is an idiot! Just stick it into 4L, lock the diffs and you'll get through that with no problems. You don't have a 4x4 unless you have diff locks. A pair of ARB lockers on that jeep and it will go anywhere, a $2,000 upgrade.

  • No center diff lock and the stock 18s at that.

  • Is that Jeep RWD? Ha ha ha

  • TC in a Rover is beast, Stock wranglers looks more like 2x4 STOCK vs STOCK rover always on top! LMFAO i don't want that jeep thing!

  • @tankxE80 JAJAJAAJAJAJA A jeep thing!! LMaooooo I know men, nothing like traction control plus centra diff lock!!! BEAST !!!!!.... This video i had my disco on hi gear and no cdl lock, so you can imagin the guy on the jeep JAJAAJAJJAJAAJAJAJJAJA

  • stock on stock A $30,000 rig better kick a $16,000 rig jach ass

  • @crazylife381 $40 vs $16.....

  • If the jeep would have disconnected his front sway bar. I bet he would have done it easy.

  • @vince9902 Imagine if my sway bars were disconected on the rover..... ;p

  • Did the jeep ever make it across?

  • @alexlam24 Nope, we come back 2 week after and try againg and nothing, then a week later he step on the gas and made, almost roll and end up with a front axle housing =x

  • I want to see a Jeep Grand Cherokee AWD vs a Land Rover.

And don't tell me Jeeps only have 4X4, I had a uncle who brought a Cherokee new off the lot with AWD (all wheel drive). He traded it a few years later for a truck (for work purposes.)

  • @justinlynch3 That will be interesting to see... I got a video in here with a 4x4 cherokee vs my disco and a range rover climing a litle hill.... funn to watch

  • Did you you even have it in 4 wheel your a dush

  • @sicwit2009 Jeep were on 4x4, the disco just AWD in hi gear

  • @saturbo1107 Land Rover is Land Rover ...

  • today my dad was considerd crazy by 3 atv guys when he went up a rock coverd hill in his stock LR. a jeep saw it and turnd back after looking at it. rockes were sticking out there was like a 3-4 foot deep hole that you had to get in and out of at the beginning but over all the whole thing was rediculos. in my opinion jeeps are only good for off roading when you have invested thousands of dollars in upgrades to it.

  • @nick27516 Yup !!! Land Rover RuleSS !!!!!

  • @RovingLandRover

lmfao someone actually said that a sierra would beat those two offroad hahaha

  • @wisam111 JAJAAJAJAJAJJAJAAJAJ

  • I've off roaded with a discovery before. It got stuck four times. The only reason a Land Rover would out perform a Jeep is due to driver error.

  • Haha, "Goes anywhere except past the gas station". So, true, but i love my disco, too!

  • Haha, "Goes anywhere except past the gas station". So, true, but i love disco, too!

  • it would outperform you guys!...

  • ....my crv can drive over that lmao

  • there is NO reason why that jeep shouldn't be able to clear that obstacle. i wish i was there to show yall how its done in my 93 wrangler (lifted 33's locking hubs) lol and i wish i was there to show you how its done in my fathers 78 CJ7...bone stock.

lol anyway, glad to see yall are having fun. tread lightly my friends.

  • the disco II will always be better then a jeep. Piece of shit. I own a 2004 disco and its never gotten stuck.

  • siiicccckkkk

    u guys are hectic,

maybe u might wanna try a stocko sierra,

it would eat that for breakfast

  • Don't the jeep driver know how to drive? a touch of brake pedal just at the right moment would have got him over that. Left foot braking is traction control for those that know how to drive 4x4's. Rev and spin the wheels is for people who dont know how to drive off road . Now go back to that spot and try it again, drive it properly and film him getting it right.

  • yup

  • Stock for stock Any land rover but the Freelander will best a Jeep off road. The stock Rubicon will give it some competition. I have owned a CJ-7 Cherokee and Grand Cherokee. The Land Rovers and much heavier duty. My CJ-7 was heavily modified and in that state it would beet my Land Rovers but stock there is no way any of the jeeps that I have owned would stand up to the abuse my rovers have. The parts that break are anoying, But they are never axles or major parts like my jeeps broke.

  • Disco didn't have big off-road tyres in fact it had road style tyres and it probably weighs alot more that the jeep. GO LANDROVER!!

  • wow thats gotta be fake my stock xj could do that without even spinning

  • thats just sad for the jeep, i could make it up that "hill" with a 50cc atv.

  • as i seem to rember the landy replaced the jeep in ww2

  • hahahaha at the end it all comes to the driver skills......

cuz you buy a jeep, it doesent mean you know how to do things.. please for god sake some one show this fella how to use his jeep. the only land rover that keep up with a jeep wrangler is the defender we all know that for a fact¡¡¡

  • the traction control help the land rover get over that.

tj with some skinny pedal would have done it. or limited slip in the rear would have made it

  • mine will eat the rover.

  • I love Land Rovers, but i own a jeep..in fact a 98 wrangler like the one shown-4cyl in fact! But looking at this video, i can tell you that i could prob get over that hump without too much of an issue. If that angle doesnt work, id take it head on, may even try 4low. taking it sideways didnt work, try a different approach. BTW, all my jeep has is 31s and a 2.5" rough country lift. im pretty sure id make it.

  • Not talking shit but what was the purpose of this? Maybe its because I have a 8in suspension lift on 37in tires, but I dont have much trouble with curbs. lol The Rover is very nice looking.

  • land-rover all the way

  • Oh, how far discovery has come since then... they have left everyone behind.

  • this is not metallica

  • * I NEED HELP * IF U THINK THAT A HUMMER H1 OR HUMMER H1 ALPHA IS NOT BETTER THAN THE LAND ROVER DEFENDER OR LAND ROVER IN GENERAL, PLEZ TELL ME, BECUZ THERE IZ A PERSON THAT'S TELLIN ME DAT THE DEFENDER CANT BEAT THE H1, AND I SAY IT CAN, SO GO TO THIS VIDEO "Land Rover Defender 110 vs Hummer H1 Alpha vs Jeep Wrangler Rubicon" (WORD 4 WORD) AND I WILL TELL THE GUY THAT IM DEBATING, TO POST WHAT HE'S SAYING, SO YOU CAN SEE 4 UR SELF ON THE VIDEO,

  • @296jayce Yea in certain off road abilities yea the Rover wins, but the H1 has the power and the ruggedness that the rover can never have. Hide behind the Luxury all you like in the rover but in hands down ball busting work, ther rover just does not measure up. But they both have there strong points in abilities to do what they do best.

  • @blackraven2488 o.k., ill give you an example, the land rover defender 130 and hummer h1, then what? (do you say)

  • the only jeep id buy is a WJ (aka grand cherokee) with the 4.7 H.O., otherwise i would buy a land rover any day

  • Land rovers use a traction device that tells the brakes to grab when there's detected wheels spin basically rendering the driver a noob that hopes for the best, the guy in the jeep is also a noob that doesn't know how to left foot brake to lock his driveline. So this vid is dumb.

  • @CanadaBud23 Yea bad driver in the jeep. The rover also is filled with a bunch of computer shit that makes off roading to easy in a rover. Strip all that off and go, 4 wheel to 4wheel jeep will kick rovers ass.

  • @blackraven2488 Doubt it chap..Strip off all the electronic stuff and you have the Discovery 1, which uses the series 1 Rangey set up and will eat any Jeep alive! Put a Series 1 88 inch Landy there and it will have been off road 10 minutes before either

  • @blackraven2488 wait....why would you take OFF all the stuff tha makes it better off road? all that "computer shit" as you say? In that case, put the 29 inch factory tires back on the wrangler to make it stock again.

  • ONLY LAND

  • Im a jeep owner, but i still have to give respect to landrover. Landrover has been making 4x4 machines that have been to every corner of the earth, and with that comes the best 4x4 system. Have you ever seen those LR3's trechin throughthe amazon and stuff! thats intense drivin right there.
