I was there 10mins after he was done shooting this. He bought beers for everyone and we all got hammered. he has the best stories. The sandwich itself was even better
There's nothing wrong with that sequence except for the excruciating presence of that asshat, Mancow. I don't know why Bourdain would slum it with him.
Wow... I live 2 blocks from this place and drive by it everyday when I get on the highway to head to work. No lie... Gonna have to try this place out. Three Little Pigs looks amazing. LOVE CHICAGO!!!!! So many things to do and places to eat.
Just sampled one of these last night. In no way is this the "greatest sandwich in America." That was a crazy exaggeration, probably helped by the fact that Tony and Mancow were a wee bit drunk. The ham was pretty dry, the bun was so-so, and it just wasn't that flavorful. Overall, a mediocre sandwich. Don't drive hours out of your way to get the Three Little Piggies.
I live in the north-west suburbs of Chicago. Last night I went and ate this sandwich at The Silver Palm. Straight up, this was probably the worst sandwich I have ever eaten. Not even kidding!!! it was very flavorless the pork cutlet was maybe a quarter of an inch thick. Brioche bun and ham were completely dry! Only good thing about the meal was the onion rings.
I just wish he didn't pick the biggest d-bag in Chicago to go there with. The Silver Palm is awesome (even if you don't get that sandwich)...but I highly suggest you do.
Had one just a few days ago. What a massive sandwich. Very hard for me to finish in one sitting. Had to take it home for next day dining. Amazing. But the one I got also had Onion rings on it too. Made for a nice topper, and even though I'm not an onion person. They were a nice addition to the sandwich.
Tony's passion for food is inspiring, especially since he's not a food snob.......this much passion over a sandwich would have most foodnetwork stars in convulsions!

The midwest is fucking awesome. The heartland has a few valves clogged, and I'm glad.
