what type of Taekwondo is this. I know is CTF(choong-sil federation), so I was wondering if each Taekwondo has a certain style. Thereason I was wondering was the cool black gi.
Yeah bqureshi21......this was so early in my training. Trust me when I say, this kick has been refined so much since this video that it's not an issue. Thanks for at least some sort of positive feedback! Gotta love the haters!!
I give this video a 7 out of 10. 70%. The leg was not tucked up, and the arms was out. If the Board was a person they could of steped out of the way and punched you in the chest.
That was great form, I can do this kick too but for some reason I require a target, and it takes me a bit more of a running start to perform it perfectly. I can never do this on an imaginary target.
As I am the person in the video, I will respond to the comment below. I'd agree that the arms might be a bit far out, but my leg is clearly tucked underneath my body at the point of impact. Slow it down to see this. I appreciate the comments but I can't help but think you sound a little critical of a segment of my martial journey that followed a 2 hour physical test. That was two years ago and I am currently seeking my 2nd degree in TKD. I must being doing something right!!
proper way to do a flying side kick is with arms in guarding position not spread out ,secondly the non kicking foot is tucked under the kicking leg on execution of the kick.

I'm so glad boards can't be people then......so they don't step out of the way!

@Karate55210 i agree i also think he would have been capable of a little more height just to push himself.

.....whatever. It's still a great kick for where I was at this point in my training with this martial discipline.
