I don't have it running yet. I am further along but running into some exhaust issues. My port 1 and 4 are inline with the frame and very tight so i'm currently putting in some short radius elbows and making new sleeves for the exhaust. It's becoming a lot of work to get it around the frame but will work with what little I have. Also determining where my radiator is going. I bought a smaller one but still not sure if i like it. Other than that it's getting there little at a time.
I just got a kz650 frame and a cb750 motor. The frame is getting chopped/stretched at the shop now. Initially thought about putting a GSXR 750 motor, but to be honest...Didnt have the balls to do it. But you should upload a video if you have it running!
I have some advice, re-lace the rear hub to a wider rim so you can put that power to the ground! It's a 40 spoke and so are a lot of the aftermarket harley rims. You can go with a 16 or an 18. Probably want the 18 so you can use some gooey sportbike rubber. Might want to run it a little low on air too. The stock drum is plenty adequate. A cheaper route is to use a 1998-2003 Honda Shadow ACE or Spirit wheel. It's a 52 spoke 15in. wheel with a 170mm tire stock. BADASS start! Good luck!
Probably going to need the tranny parts from the other motor but we'll see. Also I did think about using moto-x radiators a guy in the forums stated he had some issues on hot days idleing. Thanks for the feedback.
waist of motor- those engines are great, great bikes as well, where you going to put the air filters? it has to have them
if you finish it it will be fast as hell, good luck, i would def chainge the drum to disc, maybe kawi mag rims with duel disc front and real there are a lot of salvage yards out there one i use ids dirt cycle salvage-1-508-478-5700 maybe you could use 2 motocross radiators? in a cool shape, angled or something
Nice bike man!

I think you need a bigger back tire and better brakes

Great job so far. I've never seen an older frame with a newer motor in it. It'll deffinately turn heads. Looks awesome!

maybe you can use aluminum sheet to make a thin air box as long as the box has the air space the original does it will run great
if you use the other or dont want it ill take a motor off your hands
