  • He went on to win this race, which was his first career F1 win, and then he won the world championship the next 2 years in succession.

This is probably Mika's last interview as a 'typical' F1 driver (if there is such a thing).

  • Häkkinen pitäis saada kyl ehdottomasti takasin F1:seen =)

  • Häkkinen is the greatest Finn, won a bit of Formula 1, not really important. Just like Paavo Nurmi who won the olympic gold in spite of falling over while running. It's not that hard anyway. Easy. Whatever.

  • @Simpson654 it was Lasse Virén who fell and won.. ;) Nurmi just outrun everyone.

  • Hakkinen we miss you man. I like the way he talks, he gives a great view into his job, all the details he gladly gives.

    Not like some other drivers.

  • Mika Häkkinen

  • Videon alussa Mikan vieressä Kyllönen? :)

  • Mika Hakkinen is a TRUE double world champion contrary to Alonso.

  • And have some sisu! If Alonso got trouble he will cry like a baby and go away to get "better car".

  • Mika HÄKKINEN YOU ARE KING

  • hmmm....mika was kinda cute too....

glad he was the champ for 2 yrs....he deserved it.

  • it's his awesome character that makes him a good looking person

  • nordic countries called nordic region consisting denmark/finland/iceland/norway/sweden so maybe i am wrong scandinavian peninsula includes sweden/norway/finland

  • since when finland moved out of scandivania i would like to know maybe i am not a finn

  • There are three ways to define Scandinavia. One is the Scandinavian Peninsula: Sweden and Norway. Another way is Fennoscandia, which includes Finland, Carelia, Kola Peninsula and Scandinavian Peninsula. Perhaps the right way is to speak about the Nordic Countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. In common English usage this is also known as Scandinavia, which is actually wrong. So Finland could have not moved away from Scandinavia, because literally they haven't been there :P

  • the nordic passport union says norway/sweden/finland/iceland/denmark are scandinavia countrys

  • muggi - finland is NOT in scandinavia

  • Mika "veri slipperi" Häkkinen - famous for his pronounciation (and some driving skill).

On niin hauska kuunnella englantia savoksi.

  • Mika is the man. Really he's the champ.

  • mika is a great example of finnish talent. even my great great grandmother says that he is the best finnish driver ever. and i agree. mika u made us proud!

  • This was the Spanish GP at Jerez, where Schumacher's infamous turn in on Villeneuve retired him, and slowed Villeneuve down, allowing Hakkinen to win, and Hakkinen would then win AGAINST Schumacher next season, Mika rules!

  • The F1 cars are getting narrower and narrower. If you want to be an F1 driver these days you need to be no more than 10 stones and have the stature of a jockey LoL! :)

  • Keke , Lehto , Salo , Kimi , Heikki. all flying fins but mika is greatest ever

  • I 100% agree with you.

  • I second that. Kimi comes close though.

  • I'm 95% sure that Kimi will (statistically) pass Häkkinen before his career is over. He only needs one more title and five more wins to be equal with Mika and he's got a good chance of achieving it already in 2008. And after that he's going to stay at least one more season in F1 but likely longer.

  • Fins are the best drivers EVER! (I'm not from Finland but I like you scandinavian guys! ;-))

    And Mika is the Champ....

  • He was damn right... Mika was champ! =D

  • Thank you very much for your comment !
