Wenger typically buys young and cheap, Pato is already a star so his price has inflated way beyond what any manager would call a bargain. Wenger would more typically buy the likes of Giovinco, Bojan, Kalou, Kerlon etc. I don't think he will splash out with the money from Adebayor and Toure sales, he is more like Moyes in his transfer perspective.
