@Goddesspiggy: does your cat use her bathroom regularly? My cat hasn't really got anything out of her body. she laid down on the floor and started breathing through her mouth again. My mom is calling the vet tomorrow. A week ago, my cat was fine! jumping on window-sills, following me around when she had empty dishes...now she either is on a box or eating...
Doctor, my cat is having a hard time breathing. It's been four days. Today when I picked her up, it seemed to cause her discomfort. When she went down on the floor, her breathing was labored and seemed to be breathing from her mouth. She's 12 1/2 years old. She does sleep a lot.
I'm in a smoker family, and my cat coughs as well. Im sure its from the second hand smoke. We try to keep it out of her way at all times. I don't want her to suffer our mistakes
@TheWebkinz199811 Vet? me too :D i sooo want to be a vet, i have a cat at home and im making sure i give him short painless checkups with his ears and making sure he isnt acting funny... i hope that i actually get my job someda :D i love my cat and i hope its aloud to bring ur cat or dog to vet college!
hi .. I just noticed my cats breathing and it seems very heavy, this just started about 2 days ago and im not sure what to do ??? im very worried about him but he seems to be eating and drinking. As im watching your video i have to ask .. do they have to be born with asthma or can it occur at anytime ?? i need some anwers please
I love you thankyou tons I just started using a room spray for the holidays and my cats been doing this for days I asked the vet he said as long as hes eating hes fine but hes lazy now and keeps doing this so i think he has asthma
@mluvese My vet said same thing but she was wrong!! His appetite stayed fine but his breathing got worse and worse. Now he is in the hospital on oxygen. I am so sad.
my cat has these coughing spells (the ones EXACTLY like in the videos), but only around fall/winter months. but she is very active, purrs like a chainsaw, eats healthy, only weighs 9lbs and is going to be 3 in Feb and just snores realllllly loud sometimes. could it still be asthma?
she does have a hx of the herpes eye infection but she has not had any problems since she was 8 onths old and said there were no respitory symptoms founded. could that have something to do with it?
Dr. Talbott. Please include info about inhaled meds - Flovent & the use of the Aerokat - the new standard for treating feline asthma. Flovent is not a systemic steroid like the depo-medrol injection & can be used for the life of the cat without risk of diabetes and other immune-compromising side effects. My cat has been on the inhaled meds for 4 years & his severe asthma is completely controlled. Consider joining us at Feline Asthma Relief on Yahoo groups. We'd love to have you there.
Thank you very much for posting this. I'm taking my cat to the vet today because he has been coughing without hairball production. I really don't like using Depo Medrol (scary side effects) , so I hope that my cat isn't asthmatic
Can someone help me? Last night i could not go back to sleep because i woke up and coulden't breath that well ( i still cant now) im only 12 years old, and when i take a deep breath i cough. Should i see a doctor?
@ShAdOw116789 you might have seasonal allergies I get like that occasionally try a allergy pill but make sure you are not allergic to any medication because ill allergic to Allegra so best to go to a doctor also while i was younger they put me on the purple disk powder inhaler its sort of like a lung steroid it helped me tons felt like the fog lifted from my brain prob because I needed my oxygen
my cat also she does sleep a lot and hard to eat.... what is best medicine for cat who has this symptoms?can you reply?and what best food for her..?

@PrincessAphroditePAV My 4-mth-old kitten has the same problem too. I'm not sure if it's from the new food I have been feeding her for a week.

@ShAdOw116789 If you're having problems breathing, you should tell a parent/guardian and see your health care provider.
