They really screwed up the "Stealth" version imo. If you want it to be stealth, you have to use either the Cherry MX Red or Black switches. Those are the only ones that don't click. Ugh. Just when I thought I found the perfect keyboard. Back to searching.

@jasonRhawt they have different switches the original uses cherry mx blue (thats why it clicks) the stealth uses cherry mx browns (dont have the clicky noise but have the feedback)

Heyho, nice review man :D. Need to ask a question too.

With the BlackWidow Ultimate Stealth, does it have the same key weight and ease of actuation as the original BlackWidow Ultimate? Because it seemed as if you were putting a little more effort into pressing the keys on the Stealth version.

I was planning on getting the Stealth because of the matte finish, but if the Stealth has a heavier feel to the keys then I'll be getting the original BlackWidow Ultimate.

@ChrigiMix i can only tell you things i know, not that i tried, but the stealth will give you a math rubber finish, like the ones on razer mice and if you talk alot on a mic, this is better cause others cant hear you. The only atvantedge to the original is that you hear the click for rts games, but you also feel a bump in both versions, so you dont need the click. Get the stealth in short

@ChrigiMix I decided to get the stealth version. If your concerned about the appearance of it (since the only real difference between the two is one has matte finish and the other is shiny, and of course the cherry blue vs cherry brown keys), I assure you will not be disappointed on the appearance of this keyboard. Its gorgeous. As far as how cherry browns feel, I haven't tested it out of gaming yet, but typing on it now, it feels pretty solid. Go with the stealth.

i was wondering, why would you advice me to get the blackwidow instead of the blackwidow stealth? i mean they're the same keyboard, but the blackwidow has a shinny finish which i would say was going to be a problem when i'm going to rest my arm on it?

the blackwidow has a shinny finish which will get finger prints, but i like the shiny appearance. So it's totally up to you on which one you want to get. I think it all comes down to 1) if you mind the keyboard being loud 2)if you want the keyboard to have a shiny finish. You dont mind the clicky sound and love the shinny finish, get the original one

@koxoxok hey dude they arent completely the same the main difference is the keyswitches used the reg ultimate uses blue switches which have a different actuation then the brown used on stealth. blue are best used for typing. brown are a blue/black cross over black being used for gaming the actuation force is higher and where the button actuates makes better use for "double-tapping" keys. So Stealth are brown which are hybrid typing/gaming

depends a lot on you. i agree that stealth doesnt sound as good as Normal, but sometimes when i want to type in silence, Normal is a bit loud.(if there's no one in your room and you dont care how loud you type, then get Normal) Normal has a glossy finish to it, so Stealth doesnt have much finger prints. It will take time to get used to. but i was addicted to the clicking noise of Normal.

not really any problems BUT

i have this problem, I press a key, for example “Left”, and my charater will keep going left until I click “left” again. i dont know what the term is called but it happened twice on my stealth and never on the Normal one. It happened only twice so it didnt really bothered me. Overall the stealth is 8/10 . not bad

Looks great Man, I am looking at getting a Stealth. Question though. How long are the bypass cables from where they split? I wont use the USB bypass because my case has a bunch on the front but I would like to plug the audio bypasses into the back, but i might have to get creative because of my audio setup.

it's about 10 inches from where it splits to the USB. It will be a tight fit if you put the audio at the back and usb at the front...

isnt the none shiny cover more comfi the the normal BW, it looks just like rubber and with no finger prints it would be great. And the sound almost seems better on this one then the original, i dunno why. But does the click get adicting after a while or should it have a good effect right away?

I have the original BlackWidow Ultimate, and I gotta say that I too am addicted to the clicking noise. It just feels so satisfying when you type. Only time I will probably upgrade is if Razer makes a BW that lets you change the backlit key colors.

doesnt sound louder, it just doesnt have any clicking noises. It's quieter but it isnt like frictionless quiet. It sounds just like any mechanical keyboard(without clicking noise)

Even though it's awesome that Razer decided to make a ninja'd version, I'm a little sad because I had ordered my BlackWidow Ultimate before this one came out.... I'm not sure if one is actually better than the other but I would have preferred the matte black shell over the high maintenance gloss.
