Considering this game has different corners of the Marvel universe and more Capcom franchises are being repped it actually feels like MVC unlike MVC2 which felt more like XM and friends vs SF with special guests. If the general public always had their way this game would have just been MVC2 HD. Hell any M/C game would just have the same roster over and over and over again. We'd barely get any new faces and Hawkeye, Strange, and Iron Fist never would have gotten a chance.

As for the DLC, I'd probably buy him(although $5 is a bit much for 1 character IMO) for the sake that 1. it's Megaman, of which is one of my favourite franchises and 2. it's nice to have more characters to use that are diverse(Not that it's not diverse enough as it is)

Why couldn't this game have used an art style like Tatsunoko Vs Capcom? You know, the nice clean style that updates the traditional capcom vs fighter art into 3D? -.-
The excessive use of ugly, thick, black shadows and garish colours that make the characters blend into all but the brightest backgrounds... the art style completely ruins this game for me.

@pavelcernik They wanted to add more, but they had a deadline. UMVC3 is having a similar situtation. They wanted more characters than what we ended up with, but the higher ups wanted the game to be out before Christmas.

He is after all the only other iconic Resident Evil villain. Don't speak for the community until you're in it.

@goldeyeblue I cannot disagree with the hate on Megaman. Capcom is disowning it's birth franchise, but that's been in progress for awhile. I've come to terms with that. I can't say anyone was begging for Modok, but I can assure you he's far from obscure. As freaky as a character he is, he actually is integral to the Marvel world, probably one of it's biggest villains at this point. He's Captain America's arch-nemesis after all.

@twiztidlestat I know marvel comics and read the punisher and Spider man and some others like x men and never heard of him until just now. I like him though he seems pretty awesome.

He is a guardian of the Keystone colony. And he liberated a race of animals that were experimented on. He's actually a fascinating character. He's tagged with many of the marvel characters.

Yeah if anyone hasn't noticed by now every single Marvel character in MvC3 and UMvC3 is a marketing ploy. This is not a hate comment because I love MvC3 and will buy UMvC3 buts it's the truth.

Earth to Capcom, when developing a fighting game around crossover fanservice, no one gives a shit you picking the most obscure character you can find. Instead of Raccoon ad Modok, they should have put in fan favorites, like Bane, Blackheart, Cyclops, Cable, Venom, in regards to Capcom how about fucking Megaman, I'm sure more people would prefer Leon over Nemesis. To choose obscure characters instead of fan favorites in a game like this, is actively retarded.

@goldeyeblue Earth to dumbass, Marvel is the one who gets the most say on who gets in MvC games. Sorry to inform you, but Rocket Raccoon is in here because Marvel told them to put him in. All those "fan favorites" you mentioned seemed to be the most broken characters in the MvC2 as well, so that doesn't hold up your argument so much. And people have been craving Nemesis for awhile. He is after all the only other iconic Resident Evil villain. Don't speak for the community until you're in it.

@SaintValiance Well I know well enough fans wanted Megaman, where the fuck is Megaman. Maybe I generalized to much with Nemesis, but was anyone screaming for Modok. The developers have stated an intent to choose obscure characters, so it's not entirely what Marvel handing them characters, Jackass.

@goldeyeblue I cannot disagree with the hate on Megaman. Capcom is disowning it's birth franchise, but that's been in progress for awhile. I've come to terms with that. I can't say anyone was begging for Modok, but I can assure you he's far from obscure. As freaky as a character he is, he actually is integral to the Marvel world, probably one of it's biggest villains at this point. He's Captain America's arch-nemesis after all.

@goldeyeblue Also, there's nothing solid, but there's a rumor going around that the main reason Hawkeye has gotten in is because Marvel wants to promote the upcoming Avengers movie(which he's in). Capcom can ask for whatever character they want, but it's up to Marvel to say yes or no. Quite frankly, I think the new additions to Ultimate are amazing.

@goldeyeblue With the exception of Virgil, all the new Capcom characters are significant enough to deserve being in. And we finally get Ghost Rider & Dr. Strange. I've never been a fan of either of the comivs, but I've always thought it was stupid that both MvC2 AND MvC3 had VILLAINs from Ghost Rider & Dr. Strange......but no actual goddamn Ghost Rider & Dr. Strange...

@SaintValiance True, but who knows who Rocket Racoon is, I've never heard of Nova, From what I here Iron Fist is slightly heard of. Everyone know about characters like Cyclops, Gambit, how about The Human Torch, they've got 2 Fantastic 4 villains. I'm not calling em' out on Ghost Rider, or Dr. Strange, those were good choices.

@goldeyeblue I know who Rocket Raccoon is. Cyclops and Gambit are quite literally, my 2nd and 3rd favorite X-Men, but I am so much more psyched that Rocket made it in than I ever would have otherwise been.
I have a question. Do you read Marvel comics? Because if you did, you'd know Iron Fist is an Avenger, Nova killed a villain that the entire Fantastic Four couldn't defeat, the Human Torch is dead, and there are already a disproportionate number of X-Men characters in MvC history.
