The first three books could be made into movies just as good as the original Star Wars trilogy. Everything you need is there as long as you have actors and a director dedicated to the spirit of what ERB wrote.

I get to see John Carter on March 1st! Yeah, the music from the Conan movie fits just right and the art is brilliant - I love seeing some of the pictures that were used on the John Carter books I own. I'm really looking forward to the movie ... even if it doesn't live up to expectations, how bad can it be? Have a Princess in need of rescuing, lots of swordplay ... it'll be fun!

Its already exist one film based on the first book. I saw it yeasterday. Its name is: The Martian colony wars. Low budget-but faithful to the book and fun.

First comment! The picture from the beginning of Gods of Mars where John and Tars are back to back fighting the plant men was my favorite. I really hope the movie that's being made doesn't suck!
