@chevy69burn ..... at 2:44 i put it into 2nd gear...the first try didnt work because they were brand new winter tires and still had too much grip...that truck burns 2nd gear not prob with regular tires...besides its doing good for a original 24 year old truck

@mynameisjumbledwords Ford made 5 different V6s for these trucks. The first V6 they used was a carbed 2.8L then they added the 2.9L FI Engine, then in 1990 they replaced the 2.9L with the option of the 3.0L and the 4.0L OHV and then later in I believe ( I could be wrong about this) 95 or 96 they added the Optional 4.0L SOHC to the mix.

it's 87 , it's a 2.9 from the states with heads from a european 2.9 with are usually put in cars and have about 15 horses and more foot pounds of torque ..stock exhaust but shrotened , the 4.0 L clutch fits in the 2.9 bellhousing and 4.10 gears axle

i've never had a V6 Ranger, at school we have a 2.0 4 banger Ranger we race against our 2.0 Ram 50, both stripped out inside and out, no front fenders just plastic to shield the motor from mud and both have the bed removed, both carbed and standard and they're slow but fun to drive
