I actually like the dots, especially with my "Reflex LED" lights from ADJ. They look awesome with fog, as each "dot" is a beam of light through the fog. it is a very cool effect. Best effect is a mix of "dot pattern" lights and spot/gobo scanners.

why the hell do people worrie about dot after dot. its the beam of the lights that count im sick of telling people led are the future, hmmm let me guess so you got a old tv. or have you got a lcd. or the new 2inch flat led tv.

to all the people saying that the dots are wack, do you think alot of drunk people hittin up the dancefloor care about the dots? most people who come to any type of party have no idea about anything associated with these lights. they see colors flashing in their face with insane patterns, they are gonna say wooooow.

@dan0987654321 Exactly, I have two of them linked together on o-clamps on my speaker stands and they look great at small bar gigs, combine that with a starball and you got a party :-)

@djstoltz2000 i feel ya man that would look sick. just make sure if you get a dmx controller for it, that it can handle up to 28 channels on 1 fixture. right after ordering elations dmx operator, i noticed it had 16 channels per fixture, thus kicking my own ass. but it still has a 3 channel mode so i was like alright. lol

problem is that every time they bring out another led effect it just incorporates a little bit of the last one so you end up buying one light that does what the other three you bought a year ago do, that you was so excited about it had to be pre ordered ha ha im such a mug

The transparent housing only cheapens the effect. Looks like something plucked right off of the shelves of Spencer Gifts.

Yeah the dots are getting tired sum but pointed on packed dance floor you don't notice the dots and it looks alright.

To me a clear case just makes this thing look cheap. Reminds me of the low quality lighting you find in party supply or novelty stores.

Ack! Not the dots yet once again. Big reason why I don't buy anymore LED lights. Makes my lighting look cheap with dots after dots after more dots.

me too! I'm SO sick of dots. ADJ also has something called Xpress lLED & Comscan LED that have gobos & Chauvet has something called the Mayhem, which is dots, but REALLY BIG ones, they look cool... just a heads up. Maybe we're moving out of the "dots" phase soon
