How'd he start it? There were plently of grunge bands that started before nirvana. Soundgarden, pearl jam, they were all well-known before nirvana. Now, nirvana was amazing, no doubt, but kurt cobain has a musician himself, we had already seen many just like him before. He was great, his death was tragic, which brings me back to my main point. He wasn't different, he wasn't something we had already seen, and he definately wasn't the greatest.
