the average speed of my truck during my journeys in the european roads is 99->100km/h.85 km/h is the ideal(economically) speed but it is too slow for an "on time" cargo delivery..!!!!
@vasdesp this is where operators must take responsibility and allow drivers a few more hours of time to reach destinations, not only will this save them money on fuel, it will reduce driver stress levels which potentially equals fewer days off per year
I wish these truck would drive slower here in Europe. They go like mad even on narrow and bad roads. 82-85 is fine by me. But they drive faster then a passenger car, like 100 km/h...
@123dodgecharger The thing is, our roads were built when trucks like these were half the size or less. Even though the road is new it gets bumpy after half a year. Maybe the construction of the road is bad, but when the road is narrow and bumpy truck drivers still drive really fast. When there is a speed limit like 40 because there are small pebbles on the road due to reconstruction they go with 100 km/h. And BAM, my S40's windshield is chipped. You can't even avoid it. :(
@Jetbrowse Hi, you may want to watch malaysia road condition. Its far worst than you think. Potholes are everywhere and yet public buses goes over 100km/h either it is single lane or double lane. Many accidents caused there was by speeding buses.sometimes i do get nausea when taking their buses. Safe driving is still a must.
