i got a older home with plaster board...how can I insulate the walls from the inside if I were to put new sheet rock over it? Can I just put a plastic vapor barrier over the plasterboard then screw the sheet rock over that? Or do i need to install a 1" x 4" piece of wood stud to allow some space for insulation of some kind then vapor barrier over that ..then screw the new sheet rock onto that? Hope I get a response I need the info soon, thanks
