Well that comparison is flawed. For one, it was PALIN who fabricated the link between the joke and her daughter (who no one knew which one was attending).
She just made it up to support her feigned outrage. And isn't it interesting that no one else, (not Bristol, not A-Rod, not America) responded on this. It was only Ms. Give Me My Camera Time.
