I wasn't really paying attention before but I was looking to see if the 335d was a sedan or coupe in the previous videos. Looks great as a coupe but I think the US will only get the sedan. Just guessing, I dunno. Think I'd better check it out but at this point in time the sedan would probably fit my needs better. Weight would go up some. Looking forward to remap options, exhaust and intake mods. Sure would blow the warranty though...or so it seems. Cheer!

with a p-tronic tuning box this 335d runs with 368 bhp and 740 nm of torque. Crasy figures i know but its true. standard is 286bhp and 580 nm of torque!!!! Huge jump in power

Been up against new M3. My close friend has one. Third gear 40mph roll nothing in it. 2nd gear he pulled a couple of car lengths.

The 335d will be quicker with the, frankly ridiculously silly, torque on offer. If it's not enough in stock tune then get a custom remap and enjoy about 700lbft to play with

Right, i do not care what you want to believe. Stock for stock there is not much in it. M3 has only 236 ibs vs the 335d 428ibs torque thats what makes the difference even though the 335d has less power

Now the diesel is re-mapped tp 345bhp and 530ibs the m3 is left for dust like in my other video, onthe road the gap is even bigger and the diesel is shit for standing starts (1st gear to short and no lsd)

No turbos for assistance, pure muscle engine, how can you compare an ugly poxbox diesel against a classic m3. you may as well put it up against an etype !! If you want to compare your cookin oil engine to an m3 then put it against a current generation m3 of the same breed, v8 400hp, No didnt think so !!!

the 335d out-torques the M3. 425 lb-ft.

obviously the M3 will have a faster 0-60 time though, but it'll run out of fuel halfway through the race :(

my m3 is an e36 import mapped and de-limited, not a v8, but you are talking 9 yr old technology vs new, this is the argument. do you think the new m3 would lose the same race? seriously? the very fact a 9 year old car is virtually neck n neck shows how crap diesel cars are and ive had a few. be realistic paul. still, interesting argument i suppose, but you know as well as i do, new v old aint fair really is it? besides, the evo still does it without boost although the 335d is still a great car

Since ive been re-mapped ive yet to be beaten at the drag strip by new V8 m3.

On autobahn they pull 4 car lengths to 160mph.

E36 AND E46 M3'S are easy prey now.. muller then easily.. check my other vids. loads of them

Great videos, Ive just come from a stock '286hp' 535d and have the choice between the Audi A5 3.0tdi and the 335d coupe. Im leaning more towards the BM cos I love the engine and maybe get it remapped. Have you had any engine or drive-train issues since the remap? Thanks.

335d vs A5 3.0tdi, the 335 is a much faster car.

Ive had no engine or drivetrain issues (touchwood). over 30k On the re-map.

Your talking shit mate, your talking a 1992 design car with a 2006 design car, the new generation E92 is leauges ahead in performance and chassis design. The video stopped as it was on a small camera, im talking ACTUAL times, not the fact i got a good start as the start is not included in the times. you could wait half a minute after the person next to you sets off and still post a better time. The 335d on this run was 0.2of s secon faster and 2mph faster. Therefore a faster car

Hi mate, just to let you know. I have friends with M3's and run with them all the time on the strip and on the road. The 335d is faster. The game has moved on.

On the road the 335d pulls away more is in gear and rolling start it is sublime, standing start it is closer as the M3 has a great diff and brilliant for launching but once rolling the 335d pulls away cleanly and has a higher terminal speed than the M3 and pulls away really well from the M3.

well 285 hp is a sweet deal and i dont deny the 335d is a good car, or since i havent driven it, at least powerful, but

their is a little thing called power to weight ratio

transmission ratios, weight of the wheels, and at advanced speeds aerodynamics count, but still, if this is a 3.2l m3 then it is 321hp on a weight of 1530kg vs your 285hp on 1655kg

so, either there is something wrong with the m3, crappy driver, OR you're lying

wrong disel has the torque in the early stage .. its full BHP is used almost at redline.. the petrol is known for HIGH END TORQUE.

meaning rolling.. either your driver is shit or the car lost some BHP.
