  • The cost is fake! The sonata does not even look like its damaged

  • i was working for a guy and driving a 1973 Lincoln continental 4 door. he was in a 65ish elderado he reended me (while stoped) at 30mph. NO DAMAGE AT ALL to the continental the caddy had a scratch where the bumperet thing on the contintal rubed funny. thats it!

  • um...that looks like something I would flick the paint off and drive away. That is not 1500 hundred dollars damage. somebody is getting it up the a.$.$.

  • The Sonata did perfect! Stupid big cars!

  • what the fuck is this crap, nothing happened to either car? over 2300 to fix the two, are you kidding i wouldn't even take it in for that, what'd the fascia get scratched? fix it yourself for god sake, jesus there wasn't even paint swap.

  • @KingofComputing umm the bumper itself needs to be repaired and most likely the outside of the car thats hiding the bumper needs to be fixed

  • there was a priceless artefact in the boot of the car and it broke so they both split the money in a equal amount

  • both vehicles looked fine! If this happened to me I'd be buffing the scratches out and replacing the styro under the bumpers

  • Can i see that 1 more time. i don't think i caught on to that?

  • Suv's and trucks are built for roughness, they can withstand far more damage before repair is needed. small or even mid size cars are built for speed and looks alone. they offer no protection, and arent even that good on gas. if you want good gas mileage ride a bike. if you want protection get a chevy truck. there built chevy tough.

  • I would love one of those. Also read a good article about the same at fasteconomicalcars (.) com

  • this doesn't simulate real life, usually a hit like this, the sonata would have the brakes engaged, and most likely be more damage

  • what happenes to these cars after they're done with them?

  • bumper cars!!!!!!

  • @Rlnthndr HELL YEAH

  • yeah they probly sell them but SALVAGE

  • why is the huyundais bill so expensive? what damage to its self esteem?

  • Hyundai sonata: Good . . . for testing =S

  • thats was really good commpared to hummer

  • the only reason the sonata did good was because the ford explorer was hitting it. ford invested time and money in its suv bumpers to be more equal to car height bumper. this cases a bumber to bumber hit not a bumbet to trunk hit

  • @occckid123 ford never invested time in this volvo did but the reason they did it was so car and suv's would be more crash compatable

  • whoa, no-braking sonata

  • lil bit of buffing will have it fix in notime

  • You don't need a new bumper. Slap some bondo on there!

  • ford explororer any damage??

  • How is the repair bill for the Hyundai so high? It didnt even look like there was damage.

  • look at 0:48 you can notice that the suv punches a hole in the bumper thus requiring a new bumper. New bumpers came in from about $500- $1200.

Also in the collision at 0:29 you can see the trunk move this means there would also be some bodyshop work.

  • mu aunts car was hit like that with no visible damage.when she had it serviced there was 2468 of internal damage

  • @StreetRacerNola

In many cases the car body behind the bumper is punched in. I´m sure it also did so in this test.

  • @StreetRacerNola because it's a hyundai! it's like citroën!

  • @StreetRacerNola it really isnt about the damage its about when it bends the frame underneath the car

  • @StreetRacerNola Cause its not damage on the outside. There may be damage to the unibody, etc.

  • @StreetRacerNola it punched a hole in the bumper.

  • @StreetRacerNola the impact bars are all crumpled underneath and require changing...also if any part of the rear end gets shifter (here it looked like the trunk moved) it requires straightening...its all beyond apperences...the cover needs to be changed and painted...

if you dont fix them, next crash, much worse damage..

  • @StreetRacerNola Thats bc when the ford hits it, it hits the bumper, the hyundais bumper looks fine but underneath it is where the real damage is, and also if you see it causes the hood to come out and get repositioned. thats why its so high in cost

  • @StreetRacerNola Yeah this poster is a moron. He can't even label videos correctly.

  • @StreetRacerNola it poked about a 6inch hole in the bumper, and it looks like it bent the trunk slighty

  • @StreetRacerNola It received some dents if you watch carefully, though it fares much better than I would have expected. Maybe there was minor structural damage also?

  • @StreetRacerNola Yeah The for explorer either..

  • hardly a mark

  • are these cars for sale once esting is done? i bet they have some sweet deals!

  • LEGIT

  • Hahaha, i can see it now...

    Carfax History Report:

Accident Damage: Yes-but it was planned!

  • I CALL THE FORD

  • @reverseperstalsis It'll be like cereal, a surprise with every car

  • @reverseperstalsis i think they get crushed

  • @reverseperstalsis Nope, vehicles in crash tests are destroyed in their entirety. They can't use a cupholder out of one of these vehicles.

  • Ain't too bad. Not much visible damage.

  • All these SUVs are too fucking big.

  • thats what makes them better than little cars. and you wont die if u get in a fender bender to
