Yeah, very true. Beginner slide is usually a pretty basic 1-4-5. And the cool part is if u have any sort of rhythm at all a slide sounds bad ass in open somethin or other.

You can get an electric guitar to sound pretty close with a slide, so you too can sound like that, slide isn't necessarily complicated, if you have the right technique, you can experiment.
