Cute video, american bull dogs are amazing, any type of bull is amazing. Even pits. Its a sad thing that almost all of them are looked down on like trash. Personaly i love both breeds. I saved an american bull pup and had to make vids of him as he grew up. He had a broken knee an ear infection and a skin infection when i saved him. I cant believe how amazing he is :) im gunna keep him forever. hes only fifteen weeks now and the size of a mini horse haha
I have tro agree, I own two AB and they are great. We absolutely love this breed. But like the comment below stated they have to be socialized and trained early. They are very stubborn as all bulldogs are. But non the less a great breed
@jvillanu1969 They are definitely stubborn, even if it's only half AB. My dog, Hugo, is a mixed breed dog with half Labrador, half American Bulldog in him and I wouldn't give him up for anything.
It's a shame how many confuse the AB with Pit Terriers. They do have similar traits and many are crossed bred, but overall they are the sweetest. A surprise to me as we recently were victims of a doggy dump off. =O(

First of all let me respond that MOST pits and AB's are NOT cross bred as many may think They are actually completly seperate breeds they only share one common ancestor the orignal Bulldog not the British Bulldog which has been crossed from the OG bulldog to a pug.
missnatasha90...AB's will get along with ANY breed. They need to be socialized from day one tho. They are super sweet dogs but can still carry their 'guard dog' trait when it comes to their owners around strange dogs and get protective. one of my AB's best play mates is a great dane and they are a great match.
Excellent posting. My roommate's dog attacks my dog often, but when my dog defends its self it hurts the other dog. Is that the fault of my dog? Of course not, but because it's called an "aggressive breed" I get fed this horse shit, and all I can say is fuck you. My ABD is wonderful, sweetest animal in the world. My american bulldog Newman was the best dog I have ever had. Having dogs all my life he stole my heart and touched me like no other dog has. Due to my recent move i now have plenty of space for another dog, and was wondering if someone experienced in the AB breed could please tell me, if brought up with them from a puppy, would a male AB be likely to get along with a male Rottweiler and a male Great Dane? It depends on how much exercise the puppy will get, the nutrition(pay very much attention in select high protein,natural with no grains,nor by-products dog food...I recommend due my experience brands such as "Taste of the Wild" and "Orijen"). Finnaly, it'll depend on the genetics.Good luck

no im not gonna bash ya for your misspelling we all do that and typo as well. While I feel that getting a APBT to look tough or mean is stupid and borders carelessness I dont think it means the owners are trash, even new APBT owners are quick to discover they depth of their loyaolty and love wich often will turn them into responsible dog owners. Most of the APBT owners i know are anything but trash, actually they tend to be very responsible dog owners as well as nice people.
I have 2 golden retriever/american bulldog mixed 5 month old puppies. You talk about beautiful and smart. What a mix. I have always been leary of bulldogs and have stuck w/ retrievers....but these babies have definitly changed my mind. Unbelievable!

sounds like you need to work with them some. how old are the dogs? mine used to do the same thing & we had to teach them this was not o.k. to do since they get pretty big. now my young pup who is about 7 months is the only one who i still have do this some times.
I know that I have a female that is going to be hard to break and my cuzn help me with her and now it is so caring and she don't jump on my kids. When her mate gets hurt she tryes to be amother to him and hope everyone thinks bout getting on of the babies.
A friend of mine was moving and going to put the little guy down but he was so cute at just a month old my mom (a dog hater) said i could keep him. he's sleepin next to me now droolin all over my bed. Wouldnt change a thing about him:D

I got mine at the city pound, she does not have papers but she's a great dog, that might have gotten destroyed if not adopted, and I only paid $60 for a 6 month old pup.

i have a very rare long haired american bulldog and he lets my two year old run all over him and doesnt even wake up he runs from my chihuahua and they play great together the best dog i ever had wouldnt hurt a fly and yes he is 100% american bullgog with long hair
So rare I doubt it's a AB...if it is, it would be considered a failure, as far as breed standard goes. I'm not saying he's not a good dog, I'm just saying he's either not what you think he is, or one that would be considered a failure of the breed.

So glad somebody else sees them the way I do. Mine was a rescue dog at 4 months old she was covered in lash marks and scared to move out of a corner. Now she's the best pet I've ever had...not a mean bone in her body.
I just wish more people could look past how they look and the stereotypes that breeds like these have received. Its all in how you raise the pet...any breed can be vicious if you let it.
sorry to hear that. :( how old is the dog? if it is still young, tell your room mate that he should: never let the dog chew or growl at anyone, even if playing. and never play toug-a-war with the dog(this is a dominatiny thing). if he fallows these simple rules, the he should not have any more problems. hope this helps.
It's sad - she and her (ex) boyfriend trained her to be extremely protective and dominant. She and I didn't get along, but it wasn't her fault, it was how she was raised, I think.
Your dogs look awesome! I, too, have an American Bulldog. I've had him over a year now, and his name is Duke. He's mostly white, with a patch of brown on his tail. He has some spots, too. The greatest dog I've ever had!
They truly are the best breed i will never get a different breed. We have a 2 year old female named Tana. She is the best! Very gentle with children too we have a 5 year old son that absolutely loves her. Great job on educating the public on this very loving breed. : )

they really drool the most after eating and drinking. i carry a washcloth around to wipe his face!! it does get annoying, mine is pretty clever and tries to sneek up on me and wipe his face on me. he is also a drooler when he sleeps which is pretty gross since he sleeps on my bed...

My boy is just like a big baby around the family. They get their bad reputation from dogs that were either raised improperly or raised in a bad environment. The breed has a very interesting history, if you think you might like owning one, it's something you should research. Great video, perfect choice of music. :)

I have 2 AMB and they are really caring,loving, and adorable but there is a lttle problem. they jump and my little brother is too scared to come ot. when do they calm down????

sounds like you need to work with them some. how old are the dogs? mine used to do the same thing & we had to teach them this was not o.k. to do since they get pretty big. now my young pup who is about 7 months is the only one who i still have do this some times.

I know that I have a female that is going to be hard to break and my cuzn help me with her and now it is so caring and she don't jump on my kids. When her mate gets hurt she tryes to be amother to him and hope everyone thinks bout getting on of the babies.

A friend of mine was moving and going to put the little guy down but he was so cute at just a month old my mom (a dog hater) said i could keep him. he's sleepin next to me now droolin all over my bed. Wouldnt change a thing about him:D

depends on how much you are looking to pay & where you live. the breeder i buy from sells them NKC reg. for $300.00-he also ships around the US , but it can get costly. depends on how far. :)

I got mine at the city pound, she does not have papers but she's a great dog, that might have gotten destroyed if not adopted, and I only paid $60 for a 6 month old pup.

i have a very rare long haired american bulldog and he lets my two year old run all over him and doesnt even wake up he runs from my chihuahua and they play great together the best dog i ever had wouldnt hurt a fly and yes he is 100% american bullgog with long hair

So rare I doubt it's a AB...if it is, it would be considered a failure, as far as breed standard goes. I'm not saying he's not a good dog, I'm just saying he's either not what you think he is, or one that would be considered a failure of the breed.

Well i guess thank you for proving the point that allmost no one knows the difference between an american bulldog a bullmastiff en even an american staffordshire terrier... before the video got up to 45 sec i already saw a bullmastiff and before that a stafford....
THIS PROVES MY POINT that B.S.L. sucks... because most ppl do not even see the difference between a pitbull or any other type so called agressive breed...

So glad somebody else sees them the way I do. Mine was a rescue dog at 4 months old she was covered in lash marks and scared to move out of a corner. Now she's the best pet I've ever had...not a mean bone in her body.

sorry to hear that. :( how old is the dog? if it is still young, tell your room mate that he should: never let the dog chew or growl at anyone, even if playing. and never play toug-a-war with the dog(this is a dominatiny thing). if he fallows these simple rules, the he should not have any more problems. hope this helps.

It's sad - she and her (ex) boyfriend trained her to be extremely protective and dominant. She and I didn't get along, but it wasn't her fault, it was how she was raised, I think.

Your dogs look awesome! I, too, have an American Bulldog. I've had him over a year now, and his name is Duke. He's mostly white, with a patch of brown on his tail. He has some spots, too. The greatest dog I've ever had!

They truly are the best breed i will never get a different breed. We have a 2 year old female named Tana. She is the best! Very gentle with children too we have a 5 year old son that absolutely loves her. Great job on educating the public on this very loving breed. : )

they really drool the most after eating and drinking. i carry a washcloth around to wipe his face!! it does get annoying, mine is pretty clever and tries to sneek up on me and wipe his face on me. he is also a drooler when he sleeps which is pretty gross since he sleeps on my bed...

Nice Vid. I own two American Bulldogs myself. I have owned a very very good Pitbull before. They are both very intelligent and loyal dogs. There is no bad dog. There are only bad owners.
Our town has a Pitbull ordinance. I think they should have a idiot ordinance.

My boy is just like a big baby around the family. They get their bad reputation from dogs that were either raised improperly or raised in a bad environment. The breed has a very interesting history, if you think you might like owning one, it's something you should research. Great video, perfect choice of music. :)
