Even in pi/2 mode the antenna is ~250km long. This is not that.

I broadcast HAM with QRP 5W typically, and bandwidth much less than a Cell phone. I also daily fire 50MW of microwave in to a particle accelerator. Power at close proximity is an issue, but thanks to 1/r^2 it is not at any distance. It is non-ionizing so forget cancer or any other crazy notion. Facts first, screaming and sensationalizing later.

The only documented risk from microwave exposure below proximity/power to cause RF burns would be to the lens of the eye (cataracts over time) as it lacks cooling blood flow. The same is true for ionizing radiation at low level (<~100uSv/hr) over chronic exposure below that which would cause other related problems. 1/r^2.
