Put the 3/8 HF air ratchets vs my Snap On FAR200 and FAR72B 3/8 air ratchets. My Snap Ons will win easily and will take your hand off, powerful and can be sent in to get rebuilt. The HF,once it breaks you are better throwing it away and not worth fixing.
Just the video I was looking for!!! Love you, now what size compressor are u running...how long does your angle grinder and d/a sander run till tanl is empty. Please and what kind of compressor u have, im shopping for one now
@jettastreetracer Dewalt D55168 / 15 Gallon / 200 PSI max tank pressure / 5.4 SCFM @ 90 PSI. I haven't used the angle grinder for long length of time so I don't have numbers for continuous use. This compressor is good for a tight space.
@wrenchbender320 i have that same 1/2 air gun it works better than my buddy's MATCO 1/2 COMPOSITE air gun. the harbor freight EQ air tools are made with same parts as IR. the HF EQ 1/2 air gun is the same as IR'S THUNDER GUN. when you buy air tools like matco snapon mac etc your payimg for the name those company's i named don't even make there own air tools.
@falgianibrandon Snap On is the only one that makes their own air tools.IRs last a long time and parts are easy to get for an IR.These HF impacts, throw aways when they break
@falgianibrandon Husky is owned by Stanley whom also owns Mac,Proto,Blackhawk,Black and Decker,Dewalt and Porter Cable.I know Snap On does not make their air tools.Snap On owns Williams which is their industrial tool line.Snap On bought out Williams in November of 1994 just for thier industrial tool line
@joeyakabert I saw those new ones and they look less bulky than the ones I got. The new control/adjustment definitely seems better. At that, price, I just might have to try it out.
Also I see that harbor freight has come out with a new line of earthquake impacts, my store don't have them yet, but online its suppost to be compact and lighter and has 700ft lbs of torque, not much over the 625, and suppost to be made with better parts and has a dial type selector than the previous model, which i have, which works really good still at the dealership, oil ever time on time. im going to try the new 3/8s and the 1/2 when mine dies wich will be a while.
I have the 1/2" Earthquake impact. It's a very stout unit and has never failed to break free any nut or bolt. It's a great. 2 years running. Nearly identical to the Ingersoll Thunder gun for about $125 less. This is one of HF's best products.
These are real great air tools but the big problem is that Harbor Freight has apparently discontinued them and is selling off the remainder of there stock. Whoever makes the tools for them which I think is Florida Pneumatic and Universal Tool must have either quit selling to HF or HF has decided not to sell there product anymore. It is a shame because these air tools are about the best thing they ever sold there.
@hdps99 The rotating air regulator adjustment knob is also your forward and reverse. You can slide it left and right for the forward and reverse. You do need to push it kinda hard to go from one side to the other. So that air regulator knob can be pushed from one side to the other. Don't forget to put some air tool oil in the air inlet before every use. This will increase the life of the tool.
@MrWaRmouth I actually use the 1/2" most of the time because it handles every nut/bolt I throw at it. I just changed out pads/rotors at all 4 on a friends minivan and have no problem from lugs to torque member bolts. Some people complain about their air tools for not breaking things loose, but it's actually not adequate air supply. Sometimes I use the 3/8" impact wrench for tight spots. Haven't used the 3/8" ratchet too much but good to have when I do need it.

@RangerDaleXp I haven't been to the store recently. They seem to be replacing a lot of their old stocks with new stuff this year for 2011.

Hi,
Please help a newbie? How do you put the Earthquake 1/2" Impact Gun in REVERSE? It's a powerful gun, I didn't want to break any bolt. Thank You.
