I don't think fake pets will get the attention they deserve until Hollywood gets involved. Real pets have major motion pictures like Old Yeller, Benji, and Cop Dog; and TV show like Mr. Ed and Lassie to give them great PR. Fake pets just can't compete with that. Someone needs to make a movie about a pet rock saving Timmy from a well...just sayin'.

How about a society that protects pets that belong to pets? I got my cat a teddy bear with catnip in it, but he just doesn't care much for it. I think the catnip bear needs a new home where cats will give it love and tender care.

Then I decided fUnd would work, thinking it was original since N and D are never adajcent in the English language.
