I remember seeing him in concert with my mother when I was seven years old and seeing him stroll out barefoot in a T-shirt and blue jeans. I heard George Winston play while I was in college. I was just overcome. GW said something that was quite profound, he said that a concert pianist such as himself does not practice for the applause, but for the sheer love of the piano, and occasional concerts and applause are just "icing on the cake." You can hear his passion in his music. Such a gifted man!
The Cantata Version competes with the original. Even though we're in summer in the southern hemisphere, this music really embodies de christmas -the love- spirit.

Man. I had three seconds of this song in my head 5:19 - 5:22 and I searched and searched and suddenly I thought "Something that beautiful has to be George Winston" and I finally have been reunited with this beautiful song.
No he's not dead...I was thrilled to have him come to our town to play a concert. I had a friend in high school that used to say, "my mom is dating George Winston" Everyone thought..."uh huh, yeah right." So, here we are at his concert, we're invited backstage, who do I see sitting there?....the girl from my high school days & her mom~I was speechless. Goes to show you anything is possible. I was fortunate enough to meet him, obtain autographs, & a picture with him~he is more than alive! :)

No he's not dead...I was thrilled to have him come to our town to play a concert. I had a friend in high school that used to say, "my mom is dating George Winston" Everyone thought..."uh huh, yeah right." So, here we are at his concert, we're invited backstage, who do I see sitting there?....the girl from my high school days & her mom~I was speechless. Goes to show you anything is possible. I was fortunate enough to meet him, obtain autographs, & a picture with him~he is more than alive! :)

Oh my gosh.... I have to tell you that you're one lucky person and I'm a bit jealous. Love George Winston and always have. How cool that you got to meet him, that is just so amazing.
