They're cute and playful, but rarely sit still to let you pet them once they reach a few weeks old. After a while, they become too active to keep inside, and we had to let them loose.
What you've got there is a few week old baby calling for help, and it's mother coming and taking it back to the nest. Fairly common behavior for them, but bravo for catching it on film.
Those were beautiful squirrels. wonder what kind they are...
