the melody is there with chord tones and bass notes played on one guitar. that is more fingerstyle then groove based guitar playin that doesn't have memorable melodic phrases. simple is sweet.

Fingerstyle is technically anything that uses your fingers to play individual strings. People like Andy McKee and Tommy Emmanuel just take it to the next level.

Everyone out there needs to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas again. Isn't a Christmas branch enough? Does it not symbolize the same thing? hey now come on, i agree people shouldn't jump around and show off like ignorant morons, but really some performances can put you to sleep. I believe that a musician should display an honest passion and joy for the music he plays (which really in this video the guy doesn't, and that it can be done without an air of arrogance. he seems a bit bland but still a good player). Music isn't in the fingers, it's the glow on your face and in the pleasure it gives you. I think that's what jomo3309 meant.
