some people would use tap water but i'd prefer to do it properly which for me would minimise any bad bacteria and radicals in the tap water. Who knows what the mixes actually fully contain but oh well
Yeah you definatly dont want to use straight tap water, me and a buddy took 3 beer machines and the 3 same packets of beer and did a test.
we used canadian light.
machine 1,2,3 had
Tap water, 3x Filtered Brita, and bottled distilled.
By far distilled was the most crisp taste
and the tap water actually had a "dirtier" taste too it. but it was really only noticed when drank together, we didnt taste the "dirty" when drank alone hours later.
@samljer Most beers aren't made with glacier or distilled water. You can't tell how clean your beer water is and it's about money. So the cheaper they make the beer the more profit. I just think that is wrong.
@samljer Hey shitlips the USA makes the best beer on the planet. Plus I brew my own beer and water profile is very important. This beer machine is a joke and does not make beer.
We got quite a tasty beer. Brewing process itself is rather complex and has many nuances. The manufacturer's brewing manual is quite poor, we have more advanced manual containing different nuances that may affect the taste of beer.
this is like a Sea Monkey experiment for adults

that was it? how long did it take to brew, what did the final result look like in a pint glass, what about the alcohol percent?

In the directions it says to use chlorinated tap water. If using spring or well water you should boil the water first.

i'd use spring water and not mineral
