So if the DS and mobile phones could handle the strains to the consoles, why couldn't the PS2 even do that!? I heard that they canceled the PS2 version of Kestui because of this reason.
the PS2 version wasn't canceled because of Doom's patterns, it was canceled because of the part in stage 5 where it stops and starts crolling backwards down the hole,
for some reason it lagged immensely when it happened
@gaddeath A section of stage 5 requires a process intensive operation, something to do with the stage flipping or something, too much for the PS2 to handle, which already strains itself with some cave shooters, Mushihimesama suffered a bit from it.
Whats up with Cave having animated Inser Coins displays (not that I mind), aslo, it also seems that Cave games allways have blue and pinkish-red as the enemies bullets.

Will the real final boss in Ketsui escape if you take too long or will it just self-destruct?
Jac2Mac 3 years ago
I think neither: come on, it's the final boss, after all :)

Okay, got hold of the board and tried for myself: DOOM in fact DOES time out after approx 180 seconds (three minutes).

Cave seem to like Doom Alot
In the demo of Ketsui DS you just shoot a bunch of enemys then Doom comes and fights you,
i guess they wanted to demonstrate that the DS can handle his bullet patterns
