  • Spectacular Explosion!

Shame about all the taxpayers money that dissapeard with it,

We still have to thank them for giving us GPS

That launch was part of a new constellation of Military GPS Sattelites

    GPS2

  • @fralucalii EPIC FAIL³

  • EPIC FAIL!

  • That sucks to have a rocket explode!

  • uknow wat happened chuck norris came

  • can you imagine the guy with the head set on and saying "oops"

  • the way i see it is: rocket : ten billion fireworks

  • I think the rocket goes beyond Epic Fail. More like Fail for the ages, perhaps Fail of biblical proportions

  • This music was composed in the XIX century. Geat art doesn't gets older. I live in Brazil.

  • there was an error in the guidance system which automatically caused a "self destruct" with most pieces falling into the ocean instead of basically having an unguided missile possibly crashing into a city

  • @nealshireman this is on Destroyed in Seconds, and they say it was a giant crack in one of the rocket thrusters. Thats what caused it to go BOOOM!

  • @BradamAllibourke that may also be true

  • @nealshireman it is true

  • fitting, but unexplainable.

  • what the hell is that???

  • That's Aweeeeesome!!!! I hope nobody gets hurt.

  • best firework ever

  • V of Vendetta....this video reminds me soo much of that incredible movie

  • ok you guys need to buy more from china

  • oh shit their skrewed like a nail!! lol

  • It was a Delta II American rocket. It launched a satelite, the only thing that survived the explosion was the satelite

  • "its up its up oh shit its down" lol

  • nicely done. a real good fit for 1812 overture. better than fireworks!

  • Thats the most expensive (and biggest) firework ive ever seen :)

    5*

  • Hehe, it's the Battle of Borodino all over again!!

  • What the heck is the Battle of Borodino

  • The battle that the 1812 Overture gives tribute to.

  • SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ahahahahaha americans :D:D:D:D:D hahahahahahaha

  • Oh, I dunno if it's really fair to put it down to americanitus - rockets are temperamental things no matter how carefully you make them

  • That's really one in a million shots right there, looks like a bloody war zone when the debris falls down.

  • It wasn't a Russian rocket, it was American (2)

  • Truly magnificent.

  • Haaaaaaaaaa ha haa!! I'm going to hell.

BTW, WTF is wrong with the brass in that band!?

  • "Note to self: Make sure the next one ISN'T a bomb."

    All rockets are bombs.

  • Hey, this looks a lot like where the economy is going!

  • Not that hysterical, since it's not a russian rocket. ;)

  • It wasn't a Russian rocket, it was American

  • epic

  • fuck yeahh!

  • This music was composed in XIX Century.Great art doesn't gets older.

  • when the scientists saw that, they said:

    oh, SHIT!

  • It's legendary Delta II explosion in 1997 with GPS-2R satellite.

Sounds funny with this music, because part of Czajkowski's 1812 Overture is anthem of the Russian Empire :D

  • i'm sure this was what was going through thr engineer's mind when he saw this (or her):

Note to self: Make sure the next one ISN'T a bomb.

  • epic fail

  • you know their jaws droped when they saw that one.

  • goodness gracious, great balls of....millions of dollars

  • one of the most expensive fireworks shows of all time.

The thing is, I think this was an "intentional" explosion. Well, intentional in the sense that the range safety ordinance detonated the rocket.

Everything they launch (even the shuttle) has a self-destruct capability that is triggered if the thing starts going off course.

I'm pretty sure it's a manual system on the shuttle, but I think it was automatic (or at least computer-controlled) here.

They should totally do this at night.

  • Initial failure was a solid burn through - not a RSO action.

  • what a mess

  • control:uhh houston we have a problem

    houston:what is it?

    control:big rocket go BOOM!

  • rofl. XD

  • Those would be fireballs if i've ever seen one.

  • That clip was from World's Most Amazing Videos and this music of course was added over the sounds on the Amazing Videos clip.

  • wow that did tons of damage

  • 1 Billion Bucks A Pic you know.

  • Brilliant! Thank you.

  • Elliot...I love you. :P

  • Amazing! Love the way the music and action are timed to coincide!

  • That what's called editing ...
