@coreyrocksmith they work but how much does that over priced Sebile lure cost? 14$? you get two jumping minnows or two stillwater smacks Jrs for the same price? Just saying? as long as you are get them on top water not bait its still wicked awesome!
also one more if you can tell me what is a good easy fish to go for to get some experience and easy to hook like i saw catfish look bit testy? thanks again chief
@montymagic1987 get a 2 inch rebel peach colored minnow and practice catching fresh water bass on top water. fresh water fishing is super easy and you can learn how to work a lure, water temps and weather. saltwater is much harder so simplify it and star in fresh water.
@brianmoc cheers man, you know this rebel minnow, will it have enough weight in the rebel minnow alone to get a good distance in my cast out, i seem to have a problem at the lake i cant cast the fly out far enough, the lake has a lot of thick foliage around the edge and keep getting caught in it. all i want to do is cast out a surface fly and keep the line a float so not to get snagged in the undergrowth under the water? please help . i got 9foot spinner rod
if you have 2 minutes have a look at this site this is were I plan to go fishing. 'SEA-ANGLING iRELAND.ORG and the spot is east howth pier or any where around the howth area. Any advice much appreciated?
complete novice here, how much should i expect to pay for a fishing rod like yours? how would i know what weight of line to use for each type of fish? also you cast with your right hand and then switch to your left hand to hold the rod and then reel the line in with your right hand? little confused? any advice please?
1; where are you going to fish? 2; how many times a year are you going to fish?
3; My reel & pole in this video runs about 950$ & I fish 100 days a year for fish that are between 1-30pounds. You can also get a pole that does the same thing for about 300$. The major differences will be the colors of you equipment & repair cost at years end. Line have one for the spring; 12p test for the spring &30p for the fall. Cast right, reel left. Right handed, left hand hockey player
@brianmoc thanks man maybe i missed judged your experience n skills, i've only went my first time with a friend the other day and we hadn't got a clue but i still loved it even doh we didn't catch any fish not even close we were trying to catch ''pike'' not even sure if thats the correct spelling,at a tiny little lake .id nearly call it a water run of on a little hill top not much of a lake really. i want to but a rod in mid range and fish at my harbor i see loads of people doing it there
@Holyjtizzle123 It depends on the time of year BUT! here you would use a salmon / steel head pole. An 8' 6" MH. TFO / temple fork rods has some new ones design by Gary Loomis that i would like to get my hands on this year. However, I use the St Croix version. Thats about it? the above is a 9' foot MH that i can use later in the fall but its a lamiglas so it will braking if you use lager lures so i do not! Hope that helps?
Hi. Can you tell me where in Crane beach this is. I have been there several times without success but i recently want to start again. can you tell me where u park and where this tributary is?
brianmoc have you ever tried the rapala xrap walk 13? i've had same results with it, purchasing some jumpin minnows can't beat a top water blowup at first/last light
