  • Wild!

  • Superb song...really enjoyed it. Makes me glad to be part of the Collings family with a D2H.

  • A few years back I too was lucky enough to tour the Collings shop. We drove from Toronto, Canada to Austin. The staff was really great. They were gracious hosts. We were treated to a very intimate look at the Collings facility. We even had a chance to meet Bill himself.

  • Well, that was pretty damned cool! As an owner of a bunch of Collings, it's interesting to hear an early version of one of my guitars, sort of. And ain't Lyle cool? :-)

  • Just took the Collings factory tour last week. 'Like going to Graceland... only better! Bill has surrounded himself with gracious and dedicated craftspeople. Viva Collings!

  • I think that this is Lyle's older Collings with the herringbone purfling and abalone rosette combination.

  • Love Lyle Lovett. What guitar is he playing?

  • @daveweaversguitar This is Lyle's first Collings dreadnought (East Indian rosewood / German spruce) from 1979 built out of Bill's two-bedroom apartment on Bingle Rd in Houston.
