  • It would be great if you could upload more of her (this singer) song on Youtube :)

  • !My beloved Tai people,

From now and onward just claim yourself as Tai, not Tai this and Tai that. For the sake of our Tai unification across S.E. Asia. Hail to all Tai's

  • May I add BucHumNoy; The TAI (DNA) is the ancestry of the South Asia people. Begun with our so call 1st King Sinu Lo (Yunnan, China) during 600s and trailed to Tai Prince; Khun Lo ( Loas Country Founder) and passed on to LanSang King; Fa Gnum. Whom is lineage of our Tai Prince; Khun Lo.

That's why our languages are similar

    Peace to all TAI Nationals..

  • This song "Poy Son Nam - Water Festival" sung in Shan (Tai Yai) language, but written in 2 Shan Scripts. The upper (square script)is used by Shan in Southwest Yunnan,China only. The lower (round script)is populary used by Shan in Shan State, Burma, Thailand and elswhere.

The scene is in Ruili or Mong Mao in China.

  • is this in burma or china?

  • Ok i dont kno much about "Tai people", what are they? Thai or Burmese? I'm confuse, but yeah the song is awesome!

  • Thai, Lao people are the same race of Tai people. Tai(spelled in mother tounge)is also called Shan(In Burmese)people because Tai people lives in Burma of Shan State as one of ethinic group of Burma.

Tai& Burmese are totally different race though Burmese rules Shan State.Upper Tai also stay at Yunan of China,as they are the minority of China.Actually Tai are descended from Southern China to become shan state in Burma, Lao and Kingdom of Thai.

  • The languages of Lao,Thai and Tai are very similar especially the northern Thai accents are more similar than middle Thai. This music video is from upper Tai of Jinghong, Yunan province, China. Upper Tai('Tai Nuea' in mother tongue of Tai language)is also called sibsongbanna.

  • Are you referring "Tai Neua" as just upper Tai, thus that is correct. There are many Tai (i.e Tai Yai, Tai Lue, Tai Neua, etc)? The reason I asked is because there is a group of Tai that are called "Tai Neua" as well.

  • Tai Neua or Tai Neu is another ethnic group in many countries as Laos, China, Burma, Thailand and maybe in Vietnam.

  • 'Mai Soong' to all!

Thank you very much 'proudtobebalaung'.I am away and really miss my home land. But it feels me so home.I will go and visit Sipsongbanna in the near future.I am from Kunhing,Tachileik,Taunggyi.

  • This is Tai Neu ( Tai Neua ) song. The script is called "Toh Lik" means Tai Neu Characters. Though, it looks a little different than the one I used to learn in Laos; but its pretty much similar. Huck Paeng Kanh Neu Pi Nong Tai Neu Hao. Kha Kao Ma yu America Kor Yang Oat Gum Meung Neu Yu Lai...

  • Can you read it?

  • Shan Burmese cool

  • What language script does the top lyrics belong to?
