LS7 my arse. HSV still have a shitload to learn from the mighty old ecotec motor. U cant beat this motor. It takes so much boost and loves to get raped. U will not find a better built or tuned engine than an ecotec. Best engine in the world. Ferrari and Lambo should take a leaf out of the ecotec and try and not use it as a starter motor.

@MrVYClubby The ls7 is a great engine but in stock form it's shit just like all of them. They are so detuned from factory. The gen tt kits are shithouse. I wouldn't touch them. There is a kit called an aps twin turbo kit which is a fully engineered kit and costs about 15grand installed and tuned. I got a vz clubsport r8 and I love it. Fantastic car. Better to drive than a ve I reckon. The ve is a better car but it's still needs a lot of fine tuning.

@balllsout79 Yes it is. The ve is a better car no doubt with more balance but has a very disconnected feeling on the road. Plus the car is damn heavy, it doesn't turn in as well as my vz but holds the corners better though. I have fully modified suspension with sway bars and would maul any ve. Holden need a long time to get their car right. The ve has crap build quality with an ugly cheap ass interior. My interior is far better inside and much more solid.

If you put it in third and drop the clutch you will need a lot of revs to get it to spin, that thing would be capable of it but it puts a lot of stress on every part of the driveline, that's why you start in first

Yeah I was saying that judging the size of the house and the fact it's a TT Maloo where you've swapped the motor, I'm assuming money really wasn't an issue for the build. Why would you put in a LS3 when there are blocks capable of generating more power or handling more boost? Yeah mate it does, the old man didnt wanna do up the LS2, so he got that out of eagle auto spares, they got it in from america, but the people who done it up didnt know much about the motor at the time, and the turbos they put on are too small for it, we cooked it the first time then got it fixed, its never been right since we got it, but we got a lad to tune it up for us where we live, and its running sweet atm!
